"We Are the Champions" is a song by the British rock band Queen, released from the band's sixth album News of the World (1977). Written by lead singer Freddie Mercury, it remains among rock's most recognisable anthems. The song was a worldwide success, reaching number two in the UK, number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, number three in Canada, and the top ten in many other countries. In 2009 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and was voted the world's favourite song in a 2005 Sony Ericsson world music poll.

Vice Squad are an English punk rock band formed in 1979 in Bristol. The band was formed from two other local punk bands, The Contingent and TV Brakes. The songwriter and vocalist Beki Bondage was a founding member of the band. Although there was a period of time when the band had a different vocalist she reformed the band in 1997. Since 2008, the band have been releasing records on their own label Last Rockers.
A Maximum High is the second studio album by the British rock band Shed Seven, released in April 1996 via Polydor Records. The album was written by all four band members at the time of release; Rick Witter, Paul Banks, Tom Gladwin and Alan Leach. The album title comes from lyrics in the song "Parallel Lines".
The Fratellis are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005. The band consists of three unrelated members, who perform under pseudonyms: lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli. Their singles "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle for the Choir" were both top ten hits in the UK charts.
"Somewhere Only We Know" is a song composed and performed by English alternative rock band Keane, officially released as the first single from their debut album, Hopes and Fears (2004). The single peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart during its first week of sales, becoming the band's signature song and biggest hit single to date.
The Works is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Queen. It was released on 27 February 1984 by EMI Records just shortly after recording for the album had been completed in the United Kingdom and it is the band's first studio album to be released by Capitol Records in the United States. After the synth-heavy Hot Space (1982), the album saw the re-emergence of Brian May and Roger Taylor's rock sound, while still incorporating the early 80s retro futuristic electronic music and New York funk scenes. Recorded at the Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California, and Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany, from August 1983 to January 1984, the album's title comes from a comment Taylor made as recording began – "Let's give them the works!".
"Christmas Time (Is Here Again)" is a Christmas song by the English rock band the Beatles, originally recorded for their fifth fan club Christmas record, Christmas Time Is Here Again! (1967). One of the few Beatles songs credited to all four members of the band, it consists of a blues based backing track as well as double-tracked vocals sung by them, George Martin and Victor Spinetti. The lyrics are mostly made up of the song's title refrain, repeated across nine verses.

The song debuted at number ten in the UK Singles Chart, becoming Oasis' 21st UK top 10 and first single by the band not to reach the top 4 since 1994's "Cigarettes & Alcohol". It was also Oasis' first stand alone non-album single since "Whatever" in 1994.
"Tattva" is a song by British psychedelic rock band Kula Shaker, released as the band's debut single. It was first released in the United Kingdom in 1996 as "Tattva ", then re-issued on 24 June 1996 as a re-recording from their debut album, K (1996), with a different sleeve and track listing. The re-recording reached number four on the UK Singles Chart, number 11 on the Canadian RPM Alternative 30 chart, and number 10 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. In Melody Maker, critic Neil Kulkarni declared "Tattva" and follow-up release "Grateful When You're Dead" to be "the two worst singles of '96".
Here We Stand is the second studio album by Scottish rock band the Fratellis, released on 9 June 2008. Self produced by the band in their own studio in Scotland, Here We Stand reached and peaked at number five in the UK Albums Chart on 15 June 2008.
"Mistress Mabel" is a song by Scottish rock band the Fratellis and the first single from their second album Here We Stand. The single was released on 26 May 2008. The song was first introduced by the band at their Queen Margaret Union show on 22 February 2008 as the first song on the set list. The first ever radio play was on 3 April 2008 by the radio DJ Jim Gellatly on his X-posure show on XFM Scotland, the same DJ who was the first to give The Fratellis radio play. Zane Lowe played the track to open his show on BBC Radio 1 on 7 April.
Ole Black ‘n’ Blue Eyes EP is an EP by The Fratellis. It was released in June 2007 as both a single and EP on limited edition vinyl. The track was the fifth and final single from the album Costello Music.
The Budhill Singles Club is a collection of songs released by The Fratellis from 2006 to 2008. The name "Budhill" refers to the area of Springboig, Glasgow where Barry was born. They also visit Budhill Square during the video for Creepin' Up the Backstairs. Songs released to the Budhill Singles Club are generally acoustic or alternate versions of album tracks, although in some cases demos, live versions and unreleased songs have been included.

"Look Out Sunshine!" is a song by Scottish rock band the Fratellis and the second single from their second album Here We Stand. The song was released on 18 August 2008 and peaked within the UK Singles Chart top 100 at number 70, marking the band's seventh single to appear in the UK top 75, but it fell off the chart the next week. On the Scottish Singles and Albums Chart, "Look Out Sunshine!" became the band's first number-one single and sixth top 10 hit, spending seven weeks in the top 100.
"Mon plus beau Noël" is a 2005 song recorded by French singer Johnny Hallyday. It was the second single on his album Ma Vérité on which it features as eighth track, and was released in December 2005 as a Christmas song. It was successful in Belgium (Wallonia), and particularly in France where it was Hallyday's third number-one single.
"Past the Mission" is a song by American singer-songwriter and musician Tori Amos. It was released as the third single from her second studio album, Under the Pink, in Europe, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. "Past the Mission" was issued in May 1994 by EastWest Records in the UK, in July 1994 in Australia, and in September 1994 by Atlantic Records in the US. Two different CD singles containing live B-sides were released in the UK, and the second of these was released in continental Europe and Australia. In the US, the single was only released commercially on cassette, although a promotional CD single was produced.
