In total the series included 257 songs contributed by 88 different artists.

After the group disbanded, Ellis-Bextor went solo, achieving success in the early 2000s. Her music is a mixture of mainstream pop, disco, nu-disco, and 1980s electronic influences.
Read My Lips is the debut studio album by English singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor. It was released on 27 August 2001 by Polydor Records. After the disbandment of the Britpop group Theaudience, in which Ellis-Bextor served as vocalist, she was signed to Polydor. Prior to the LP's completion, the singer collaborated with several musicians, including band Blur's bassist Alex James, Moby and New Radicals frontman Gregg Alexander. The record was described as a collection of 1980s electronica and 1970s disco music.

My Red Hot Car is notable for two different hidden tracks, based on format: the CD version features an ambient piece after 23 minutes of silence, while the vinyl features a percussion-less version of "I Wish You Obelisk" presented behind a silent, locked groove, meaning the needle must be lifted halfway through the second side and placed after the locked groove in order to hear it.

It was released as the lead single from the Take Me Home album in January 1979 through Casablanca Records, pressed as a 12-inch single.
"Alive Again" is a song performed by American singer-actress Cher from her twenty-fourth studio album, Living Proof. It was released as a third and final European single from the album on June 11, 2002 by WEA, while the song remains unreleased in North America. The song has never been performed live. The song had received positive reviews from music critics, but its commercial response was limited and quite poor in some European countries. It managed to chart in Germany and Switzerland.

The B-sides for the single include "Outside; Out of Space", which is an acoustic re-working of "Running Out of Space" from the group's debut album Theaudience, "Helen & Polly", an instrumental reworking of "I Got the Wherewithal" focusing mostly on the string arrangement, and "Je Suis Content", a cover of a Jacques Dutronc song.

Epiphany: The Best of Chaka Khan, Vol. 1 is a compilation album of recordings by American R&B/funk singer Chaka Khan, first released on the Warner Bros. Records label in 1996. Although the compilation, which reached #22 on Billboard's R&B chart and #84 on Pop, was given the "Vol. 1" tag, it remains without a sequel to date.

Bassey – The EMI/UA Years 1959–1979 is a 5-CD boxset compilation from Shirley Bassey issued in 1994, this set features 94 studio recordings on four CDs, recorded for EMI/United Artists between 1959 and 1979. Disc five features a previously unreleased live recording from Carnegie Hall. The boxset was reissued by EMI in 2010 in a standard jewel case set.

The Music of Johnny Mathis: A Personal Collection is a box set by American pop singer Johnny Mathis that was released in 1993 by Columbia Records and gave an overview of his career with four CDs containing 86 tracks that he selected himself. In the liner notes he wrote that his "undying gratitude is really to the lyricists and composers of all these memorable songs. Without the words and music I have sung over the years, my career as a singer would not have existed. My thanks is always to these special and gifted people."
