AADNEVIK (stylized in caps) is a British luxury fashion brand. [1] The brand provides haute couture, ready-to-wear clothes, bridal clothing, loungewear and fashion accessories. [2] It was founded in 2013 by Hila and Kristian Aadnevik, [3] and is based in Knightsbridge, London. [4] [5] [6]

History

London-based Norwegian fashion designer Kristian Aadnevik had established a self-titled label in 2004, which is a different brand from AADNEVIK. [7] [8] Kristian stopped operating the "Kristian Aadnevik" brand in 2013 and opened the new brand "Aadnevik" when he met his wife Hila. [2] [3] The couple met in London in 2012, where Kristian was studying womenswear at the Royal College of Art. [2] [9] Hila is a self-taught designer. [10]

Their first collection was titled "Moth" and was inspired by the appearance of the moth and its cocoon. [11]

The label has been featured at London Fashion Week several times. [12] [13] [14] [15] At London Fashion Week 2019, Aadnevik unveiled a collection inspired by Leo Tolstoy’s novel Anna Karenina. [16]

In October 2020, the National Museum in Oslo, Norway purchased one of the brand’s designs for its fashion collection, [17] which went on display in Spring 2021.[ citation needed ] In 2020, the brand announced its luxury loungewear line. [9] [18]

AADNEVIK has designed and provided clothing for celebrities such as Beyonce, Madonna, Kendall Jenner, Halle Berry, [1] [6] [12] and international celebrities such as Ananya Panday, [19] Malaika Arora, Anushka Sharma, and Priyanka Chopra. [20] One of AADNEVIK's designs was worn by Selena Gomez in her music video for the song "Come and Get It", and another in the "Rare" video. [21]

In September 2022, AADNEVIK presented at the London Fashion Week. [22] [23] The brand’s 2022 Autumn/Winter collection was titled “Wolf Moon” and was inspired by Norse mythology. [24]

AADNEVIK was also featured in the 72nd issue of London Runway magazine, which was published in 2022. [25]

Models such as Marianne Fonseca, [25] [26] Amelia Gray Hamlin, [27] and Maya Henry [25] have walked the catwalk for AADNEVIK.

Lakmé is an Indian cosmetics brand, owned by Hindustan Unilever. It was named after the French opera Lakmé, which itself is the French word for goddess Lakshmi who is renowned for her beauty. It was started in 1952 as a 100% subsidiary of Tata Oil Mills, famously after Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was concerned that Indian women were spending precious foreign exchange on beauty products and persuaded JRD Tata to manufacture them in India. Initially it was called Lakshmi beauty products later rebranded it to Lakmé and Simone Tata joined the company as director and went on to become the chairperson. In 1998, Tatas sold their stake in Lakmé to Hindustan Unilever for 200 crore.

<i>Dabangg</i> 2010 film directed by Abhinav Kashyap

Dabangg (transl. Fearless) is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and produced by Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan under Arbaaz Khan Productions with Dhilin Mehta under Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision. Khan's elder brother Salman Khan stars in the lead role, with Sonakshi Sinha in her acting debut; Arbaaz, Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Anupam Kher, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mahie Gill featuring in supporting roles, while Sonu Sood plays the main antagonist. The film marks the debut of Arbaaz as a producer and Kashyap as a director. Malaika appears in the item number "Munni Badnaam Hui".

FYODOR GOLAN is a fashion brand based in London. It was founded in 2011 by British designers Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman. The duo is known for their colourful advanced-contemporary ready-to-wear designs.

Gehraiyaan (transl.Depths) is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa, with Rajat Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah in supporting roles.

Daniel W. Fletcher is a London-based fashion designer who operates his own namesake brand, Daniel w. Fletcher. In 2020, he came runner-up in Netflix's Next in Fashion Season 1.
