Aamer Sajjad (born 5 February 1981) is a Pakistani former first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler,he played first-class cricket from 2002 to 2018.
In 2009–10 he scored more runs than anybody else in the Pakistan season,finishing with 1435 runs at an average of 68.33. [1] Opening the batting for Water and Power Development Authority against Sui Southern Gas Company,he made 289,adding 580 for the second wicket with Rafatullah Mohmand. [2] It is the highest second-wicket partnership,and the second-highest partnership of all,in first-class cricket history. [3]
He was selected for the Pakistan A tours of Sri Lanka in August and September 2010,and the West Indies in November. When the regular captain,Rana Naved-ul-Hasan,was absent,he often captained the Water and Power Development Authority team. In February 2021,he began to undertake coaching courses with the Pakistan Cricket Board. [4]
Anil Kumble is a former Indian cricketer,coach and commentator who played Test and One Day International cricket for his national team over an international career of 18 years. Widely regarded as one of the best leg spin bowlers in the history of the game,he took 619 wickets in Test cricket and was the third highest wicket-taker of all time at the time of his retirement in 2008.

Currently,he is also the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.
Graham Alan Gooch,is a former English first-class cricketer who captained Essex and England. He was one of the most successful international batsmen of his generation,and through a career spanning 1973 until 1997,he was the most prolific run scorer of all time,with 67,057 runs across first-a class and limited-overs games. His List A cricket tally of 22,211 runs is also a record. In 1992,he became the first cricketer to lose 3 finals of the Cricket World Cup and is currently the only such player. He is one of only 25 players to have scored over 100 first-class centuries. He was a part of the English squads which finished as runners-up at the 1979 Cricket World Cup,as runners-up at the 1987 Cricket World Cup and as runners-up at the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
Mohammad Javed Miandad PP SI,popularly known as Javed Miandad,is a Pakistani cricket coach,commentator and former cricketer known for his unconventional style of captaincy and batting. ESPNcricinfo described him as "the greatest batsman Pakistan has ever produced" and his contemporary Ian Chappell extolled him as one of the finest batsmen in the history of cricket.
Jacques Henry Kallis OIS is a South African cricket coach and former professional cricketer. Widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time and as one of the greatest all-rounders ever to play the game,he was a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium swing bowler. As of 2024,Kallis is the only cricketer in the history of the game to score more than 10,000 runs and take over 250 wickets in both ODI and Test match cricket. He has also taken 131 ODI catches. He scored 13,289 runs in his Test match career,took 292 wickets,and 200 catches. Kallis scored 45 Test match centuries and is the third highest test match run scorer in history. Kallis won 23 Man-of-the-Match awards,the most by any player in Test history.
Vikram Singh Solanki is an English cricket coach and former first-class cricketer. In limited over international cricket,he played over 50 One Day Internationals for England as a batsman and occasional off-spinner.
Wilfred Rhodes was an English professional cricketer who played 58 Test matches for England between 1899 and 1930. In Tests,Rhodes took 127 wickets and scored 2,325 runs,becoming the first Englishman to complete the double of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in Test matches. He holds the world records both for the most appearances made in first-class cricket,and for the most wickets taken (4,204). He completed the double of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in an English cricket season a record 16 times. Rhodes played for Yorkshire and England into his fifties,and in his final Test in 1930 was,at 52 years and 165 days,the oldest player who has appeared in a Test match.
Salman Butt is a former Pakistani cricketer and captain who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2003 and 2010,before getting banned for five years for his involvement in a 2010 spot-fixing scandal. Butt was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 ICC World Twenty20.
Hashim Mahomed Amla OIS is a South African former international cricketer who captained the national side in Tests and ODIs. Amla holds the record for being the fastest ever to score 3,000,4,000,6,000 and 7,000 ODI runs,and second fastest to reach 5,000 runs. He also became the fastest cricketer to reach 10 ODI centuries. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen to have played for South Africa,and one of the greatest opening batsmen of all time.
Sohail Khan,also known as Sohail Pathan,is a Pakistani cricketer. A right-arm fast bowler,he gained instant recognition during his debut first-class season in 2007 when he broke Fazal Mahmood's record for the best bowling figures by a Pakistani in a first-class match. Shortly afterwards he made his international debut,in an ODI against Zimbabwe. Khan was part of the team for 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Mohammad Amir is a Pakistani cricketer who is playing for the Pakistan national cricket team. He is a left-arm fast bowler and a left handed batsman. He retired from international cricket in 2020 aged 28 but on 24 March 2024 he took his retirement back and made himself available for the Pakistan cricket team. He was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
Zulfiqar Babar is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for the Pakistan national cricket team between 2013 and 2016.
Sui Southern Gas Company were a first-class cricket team,sponsored by Sui Southern Gas Company,who played in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in Pakistan from 2007–08 to 2009–10,and from 2014–15 to 2018–19. In May 2019,Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan revamped the domestic cricket structure in Pakistan,excluding departmental teams in favour of regional sides,therefore ending the participation of the team. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was criticised in removing departmental sides,with players voicing their concern to revive the teams.

The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 60th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy,Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments,and took place from 26 September to 25 December 2017,spanning almost two weeks less than originally planned. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days".
The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. Following the conclusion of each match,the teams played each other in a List A fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were the defending champions.
The 2017–18 Departmental One Day Cup was a List A cricket tournament in Pakistan. The competition ran from 28 December 2017 to 14 January 2018. Habib Bank Limited were the defending champions. United Bank Limited won the tournament,beating Water and Power Development Authority by 6 wickets in the final.
The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup was the first edition of the Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup,a List A cricket tournament that took place in Pakistan from 6 September to 4 November 2018. Each match was played after the conclusion of the corresponding first-class fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
