Aarambha is a 2015 Indian Kannada feature film written and directed by S. Abhi Hanakere, making his directorial debut. Gurukiran scored the film's background music and to its soundtrack. [1] The teasers of the film were first released on YouTube and went viral creating a controversy over its alleged sexual content. Jeevana Chaitra is a 1992 Indian Kannada language film directed by the duo Dorai–Bhagavan starring Rajkumar and Madhavi. It marked the re-entry of Rajkumar in films after a hiatus of 3 years, and was an instant hit. The film is based on the Kannada novel Vyapthi Prapthi written by Vishalakshi Dakshinamurthy. The movie was initially titled Simhadriya Simha, a title which was later used for a 2002 film starring Dr. Vishnuvardhan. The film re-affirmed the hold Rajkumar had on Kannada audiences. The film was highly successful at the box office and had a theatrical run of 52 weeks.

Mungaru Male 2 is a 2016 Indian Kannada romantic drama film co-written and directed by Shashank. It stars Ganesh, Neha Shetty, V. Ravichandran, and Aindrita Ray. The supporting cast features P. Ravi Shankar and Sadhu Kokila. Although not a sequel, the film's title came as the second installment to the film Mungaru Male (2006). The film found its theatrical release worldwide on 9 September 2016, while in Karnataka, the release was pushed to 10 September 2016 because of the Cauvery water dispute. It was a commercial success at the box office by collecting over ₹20 crore in its lifetime theatrical run.

<i>Muddu Manase</i> 2015 Indian film

Muddu Manase is a 2015 Indian Kannada romance drama film directed by Ananth Shain. It stars Aru Gowda, Nithya Ram and Aishwarya Nag in lead roles, the former two of whom made their debuts with the film. Achyuth Kumar, Padmaja Rao and Padmini Prakash feature in supporting roles. The film tells the story of a love triangle around Suresh (Gowda), and how he goes about dealing with his old lover as he falls in love with another girl in different circumstances and time. The title of the film which translates to "sweet mind", was taken from a track of the 2002 Kannada film Majestic.

Maya Kannadi is a 2020 Indian Kannada language thriller film directed by Vinod Poojary, produced by Siforia Pictures and King of Hearts Entertainments, and starring Prabhu Mundkur, KS Sridhar, Kaajal Kunder, Anvita Sagar, and Anoop Sagar. The film is based on the viral "Blue Whale Challenge". The film was released on 28 February 2020.
