Aaron Sillis (born August 1983) is an English dancer and choreographer who has worked in many fields of dance, most notably working with leading international pop artists including Rihanna, Katy Perry, FKA twigs, Justin Bieber, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey and Leona Lewis.
Sillis was born in August 1983, in Drayton, near Norwich in Norfolk, England.[1] He began studying dance at the age of 14 at the Central School of Performing Arts in Norwich[1] and at 16 he continued into professional vocational training in dance and musical theatre at Bird College in Sidcup, Kent.[2]
Aaron was a contemporary dance soloist before he began his lucrative career as a choreographer. He also worked as a background dancer for many of the world's leading artists.
Since his move into choreography, he has created movement for music videos, live performances, advertising campaigns and fashion magazine editorials worldwide. H&M enlisted Aaron to choreograph in 5 different countries for their World Recycle Week campaign featuring M.I.A. His talents working in the fashion industry led to creating a visual dance party in Paris for Vogue magazine and directing movement for Kristen Stewart in Daniel Askill's Chanel advert. Aaron has also worked with fashion heavy hitters like, Hermes, Lacoste, Calvin Klein, Paul Smith, Issey Miyake and Nike to name a few.
In 2016, Aaron's work on FKA TWIGS "M3LL155X" video earned him a MTV VMA nomination for Best Choreography alongside co-choreographers Benjamin Milan & Kenrick Sandy. He has collaborated with Twigs on numerous videos, "Two Weeks," "Pendulum," "Tw-ache" and "Wet Wipez: In the Zone." Aaron choreographed Twigs' "Soundtrack 7" film and installation at the Manchester International Festival alongside co-choreographers Gianna Gi, Kaner Flex and Ukweli Roach. He also choreographed twigs' television appearances on The Brits Are Coming and the MOBO Awards. Aaron has worked with other artists such as Laura Mvula, Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Sir Paul McCartney, Jungle, The Last Shadow Puppets and Zayn Malik. The Evening Standard included Aaron in "The Progress 1000:London's Most Influential People" list in 2015 & 2016. He also won the Times/Southbank Breakthrough Award in 2012. Aaron currently resides in London.
In 2018 Sillis provided choreography and dancing direction for Rita Ora's Let You Love Me live performances and for Years & Years's Palo Santo project. Always in 2018 he was hired as choreographer for X Factor Italia.
In 2008, Sillis created the lead role of the photographer Basil Hallward in a dance adaptation of the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Choreographed by Matthew Bourne, the production premiered at the Edinburgh Festival and won the Herald Angel Award, [1] which is presented in conjunction with the Bank of Scotland and recognising excellence at the festival. The production subsequently opened in London at the Sadler's Wells Theatre and was nominated for the Dance Europe Award for Outstanding Company [2] and for the Whatsonstage Award for Best Choreography. [3] Individually, Sillis was nominated for the Spotlight Award for Male Artist (Modern) [4] at the National Dance Awards and was nominated for and won the Breakthrough Award presented by The Times newspaper at the 2009 South Bank Show Awards. Meryl Tankard is an Australian dancer, choreographer, and filmmaker. She started her career at the Australian Ballet in Sydney in 1975, and was principal dancer with Pina Bausch and her Tanztheater Wuppertal in Germany between 1978 and 1984. In 1989 formed her own dance company in Canberra, the Meryl Tankard Company. In 1992 she was appointed director of the Australian Dance Theatre in Adelaide, South Australia, leaving in 1999 to become a freelance choreographer. Furioso is considered one of her defining works; other well-known works include Two Feet, Furioso, Songs With Mara, and Chants de Marriage 2. Her life partner is photographer and visual artist Regis Lansac, who does the videography for many of her works.

Crystal Pite is a Canadian choreographer and dancer. She began her professional dance career in 1988 at Ballet BC, and in 1996 she joined Ballett Frankfurt under the tutelage of William Forsythe. After leaving Ballett Frankfurt she became the resident choreographer of Montreal company Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal from 2001 to 2004. She then returned to Vancouver where she focused on choreographing while continuing to dance in her own pieces until 2010. In 2002 she formed her own company called Kidd Pivot, which produced her original works Uncollected Work (2003), Double Story (2004), Lost Action (2006), Dark Matters (2009), The You Show (2010), The Tempest Replica (2011), Betroffenheit (2015), and Revisor (2019) to date. Edward Scissorhands is a contemporary dance adaptation of the 1990 American romance fantasy film Edward Scissorhands, created by Matthew Bourne, with music by Terry Davies. The screenwriter and composer of the film version, Caroline Thompson and Danny Elfman, helped to develop the dance version, which is set in the 1950s. The story is told entirely through music and dance with no discourse although the plot is similar to the movie.
Mamela Nyamza is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, curator, director and activist in South Africa. She is trained in a variety of styles of dance including ballet, modern dance, African dance, the Horton technique, Spanish dance, jazz, movement and mime, flying low technique, release technique, gumboot dance and Butoh. Her style of dance and choreography blends aspects of traditional and contemporary dances. Nyamza has performed nationally and internationally. She has choreographed autobiographical, political, and social pieces both on her own and in collaboration with other artists. She draws inspiration from her daily life and her childhood growing up in Gugulethu, as well as her identity as a homosexual, Black, South African woman. She uses her platform to share some of the traumas faced by South African lesbians, such as corrective rape. Additionally, she has created various community outreach projects that have spread dance to different communities within South Africa, including the University of Stellenbosch's Project Move 1524, a group that uses dance therapy to educate on issues relating to HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and drug abuse.
Etta Jane Bertschinger is a British dancer, choreographer and the associate director of the New Adventures educational strand. She has worked for Matthew Bourne for over 20 years in a variety of different roles. She teaches throughout the UK and abroad for dance companies and dance institutions, as well as being a freelance faculty member of the London Contemporary Dance School and Young Place.
Will Tuckett is an English director and choreographer, who has created works for many international companies including the Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada, and English National Ballet.
Ryan Heffington is an American dancer and choreographer based in Los Angeles. He was nominated for two Grammy Awards for choreographing the music videos for Arcade Fire's "We Exist" (2013) and Sia's "Chandelier" (2014), winning a VMA Award for the latter.
The Red Shoes is a ballet choreographed by Matthew Bourne using the music of Bernard Herrmann (1911–1975). It is based broadly on the 1948 film The Red Shoes by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. The set and costume designs are by Lez Brotherston. The ballet was premiered on 6 December 2016 at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London, by Bourne's ballet company, New Adventures.
