The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. They compete in the NRL Telstra Premiership, as well as competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the Canterbury Cup NSW, the Jersey Flegg Cup, Harvey Norman Women's Premiership, Tarsha Gale Cup, S. The Western Reds were a rugby league football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The National Rugby League's Queen's Birthday clash is held annually on the Queen's Birthday Holiday in Australia between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the St. George Illawarra Dragons. It is traditionally played at Stadium Australia. The Bulldogs won the first three clashes, but the Dragons won the following two. The Bulldogs however won the most recent encounter the following year 22–2. The game was the first of two on the holiday when it started, but due to the scrapping of Monday night football it is now the centrepiece event on the Queen's Birthday Holiday. The match traditionally kicks off at 4pm. The game is the centrepiece of the long weekend's big lineup each year.
