Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide is a fictional character from the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah . He is a tuition teacher who runs Bhide Coaching Classes from his home in Gokuldham Society, where he also serves as the secretary. Bhide lives with his wife, Madhavi, and their daughter, Sonalika, affectionately known as Sonu. The character was created by Asit Kumarr Modi and portrayed by Mandar Chandwadkar.

Development

Mandar Chandwadkar, who portrays the role, faced eight years of struggle before securing the part in 2008. Originally a mechanical engineer in Dubai, he left his job in 2000 to pursue his passion for acting in India. Despite the challenges, Chandwadkar believes the risk he took has paid off. [3] During the casting of the show, Sonalika Joshi recommended Mandar Chandwadkar to Asit Kumarr Modi for the role of Bhide, based on their previous collaboration on another show, which led to his eventual casting.
