Abaddon Incarnate are an Irish deathgrind band.

History

Abaddon Incarnate was formed in Dublin in 1994, playing fast death metal with grindcore elements. Under the name Bereaved the band released two demo cassette tapes, Signs of Death in 1992 and Tortured Souls in 1994. The decision was made to change their name to Abaddon Incarnate on the release of their third demo, When the Demons Come. Since then the band has released two more promos (in 1996 and 2001) and five full-length album releases, namely The Last Supper in 1999, Nadir in 2001, Dark Crusade in 2003 and Cascade in 2009, Pessimist in 2014. Additionally a split 7-inch with U.S. grind band "Phobia" was released in 2011. [1]

The band has toured extensively in Europe including Spain, France, Britain, Switzerland, Germany. In South America they were the first extreme Irish metal band to play in Ecuador, Colombia and Peru. Also they have toured in Russia and Australia.

Abaddon Incarnate are currently signed to Transcending Obscurity Records (UK) but have previously been signed to the Slovakian label Metalage Productions French label Season of Mist, to the Irish label Sentinel Records, and to the Spanish label Xtreem Music.

Original drummer Olan Parkinson rejoined in 2019 after filling in for some Irish dates and now Under Transcending Obscurity the band will release their sixth album The Wretched Sermon in early 2022. In June 2022, the band revealed that the album would be released on August 5. [2]

An Irish Metal mail-order was established to stock and sell everything released by Irish Metal bands from demos to CDs and LPs and also stock shirts, fanzines and any other related merchandise. Later this was expanded to world-wide metal and an on-line store was created. The webstore and label has had somewhat of a resurrection in recent years and expanded their stock greatly.

Sadist is an Italian death metal band formed in Genoa, Italy, in January 1991. It debuted with Black Screams in 1991, then released three albums. In total, the band has released nine albums and one EP. They are currently signed to Scarlet Records. Hybrid was an extreme metal band formed in 2004 by musicians from other Madrid acts.

Last Days of Humanity is a Dutch goregrind band that was active from 1989 until 2006, and reformed in 2010. Its music is known for its nonstop sound and relentless blast beats, with regards to drummer Marc Palmen.

Diskord is a band from Oslo. The band was started in 1999. Diskord's music can be categorized as doomy, progressive/technical death metal, while several critics have labeled the band as hard to classify genre-wise. Nevertheless, their releases have been critically acclaimed, as for instance evidenced by Austin Weber's piece in the No Clean Singing webzine: "Regardless of what comes out this year, I will be jamming Dystopics a lot; in retrospect. it’s my favorite death metal album from last year", and their inclusion in Norwegian newspaper Tønsberg Blad's list of best albums of the year.
