Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi is an Uzbek legislator and politician from Afghanistan. [1]
Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi was born in the Imam Sahib district of northern Kunduz Province in 1962,and is a member of the Ibrahims Clan. He finished his primary education at Basus Middle School in Imam Shabib District and later studied at a madrassa until 12th grade in Takharistan,Kunduz. [2] After completing high school education in 1979,he was admitted to the Languages &Literature Faculty of Kabul University.
He joined the Hezb-e Islam mujahedeen group when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. Following the mujahidin's victory,he was appointed as Shir Khan Dry Port director in 1993. Subsequently,he was appointed as commander of 3rd southern border police zone.
After the collapse of the Taliban regime,he worked as commander of border police in 2002 before being elected as Emergency Loya Jirga member the same year. Ibrahimi was elected as Wolesi Jirga (lower house) member from Kunduz in 2005. He won a parliamentary seat for the second time in 2010 when he was elected as speaker of the Wolesi Jirga. He earned his BA in the Arabic Department of the Literature Faculty at the Kabul University. [3]

Mirwais Yasini میرویسیاسینیis the current First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of the Afghan Parliament. Following the Communist coup in 1978,Mirwais Yasini worked actively to combat the Soviet invasion,and went on to oppose the Taliban from 1993 to 2001 as a social and political activist. After the fall of the Taliban regime in 2002,Yasini began his political career as the Director of Foreign Relations and Economic Evaluation for Afghanistan's Ministry of Finance,and as a prominent member of the Emergency Loya Jirga,which met in Kabul. Since that time he has held several high-level political posts,including such titles as the First Deputy Speaker of the Constitutional Loya Jirga and Director General of the Counter Narcotics Department.

The Afghan Independent Election Commission - established in accordance with the article 156 of the Constitution of Afghanistan for the purpose of organizing and supervising all elections in the country - postponed the poll from its original date of 22 May to September 18.

Mir Rahman Rahmani is an Afghan politician and businessman who is the current de jure Speaker of Afghanistan's House of the People,holding the office since June 2019,until his flight from Afghanistan in 2021. He has been a member of the Wolesi Jirga since 2010.
Fatima Aziz was an Afghan physician and politician. In 2005,she was elected to the lower house of parliament as representative of Kunduz province in Afghanistan's first free parliamentary election in decades. She was re-elected in the 2010 and 2018 elections. She served as an MP until her death from cancer in 2021.

President Karzai has once again failed to keep his promise of sending a complete list of cabinet choices to the Wolesi Jirga, lower house of Parliament, for a vote of confidence. Speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi informed the house on Saturday that the president had phoned him to say that parliamentarians could go on summer recess while the list is prepared.
