Abdulla Adel Fakhro is a Bahraini businessman and politician currently serving as Minister of Industry and Commerce. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. [1] [2]

Career

Abdulla Adel Fakhro, a member of a prominent Bahraini business family, spent 20 years in his family's business Fakhro Group, rising through the ranks to executive positions. He served as a director of Fakhro Restaurants Company (McDonald's Bahrain), Abdulla YousifFakhro Group, Lotus Investment Company, and GAC Bahrain. [3] [4] He is the founder of Summit 7 Holding with interest in hospitality, floating structures, sports and arts. After leaving his family's business for politics, he was appointed to the board of directors of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and BMMI where he served until November 2022 when he was appointed Minister of Industry and Commerce. Fakhro is a member of the board of Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of Bahrain. [8]

The House of Khalifa is the ruling family of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Al Khalifas profess Sunni Islam and belong to the Anizah tribe. Some members of this tribe joined the Utub alliance which migrated from Najd in central Arabia to Kuwait, then ruled all of Qatar, more specifically Al Zubarah, which they built and ruled over before settling in Bahrain in the early 17th century. The current head of the family is Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who became the Emir of Bahrain in 1999 and proclaimed himself King of Bahrain in 2002, in fact becoming a constitutional monarch.

Ghazi Abdul Rahman Al Gosaibi was a Saudi politician, diplomat, technocrat, poet, and novelist. He was an intellectual and a member of the Al Gosaibi family that is one of the oldest and richest trading families of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Al Gosaibi was considered among Saudi Arabia's topmost technocrats since the mid-1970s. The Majalla called him the "Godfather of Renovation" while Saudi journalist Othman Al Omeir argued that he was "the only great man in Saudi Arabia."

The Fakhro Group, also known as the Abdulla Yousif Fakhro Group, is a collection of businesses owned by the descendants of the late Abdulla bin Yousif Fakhro established in 1888. The group is one of the oldest and most prominent family businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The collection of businesses are currently headquartered in Manama, Bahrain with operations in Qatar and the UAE.

Mohamed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Hassan Al-Fakhro, nicknamed Half of the World, was a wealthy businessman from Qatar. He fought in the Zubara War of 1935 with the Al Thani. He was given his nickname by the then ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah bin Jasssim Al Thani for his vast knowledge and wisdom.

Mohammed Hasan Kamaluddin is a Bahraini former cabinet minister, member of parliament, ex-diplomat, poet, historian, writer and researcher. He is best known for having published the first Encyclopedia of Bahraini History, stretching from 3000 B.C. to the modern Bahraini state. It is the largest and first work of its kind in the GCC region.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National Security Agency (Bahrain)</span>

The National Security Agency (NSA) or Bahrain Intelligence Agency (BIA1) is an investigative authority in Bahrain that is associated with but not formally part of the Ministry of the Interior. The NSA was formed after King Hamad issued Decree No. 14 of 2002 declaring it as the replacement of the General Directorate for State Security Investigations. The NSA was granted the power to make arrests by a 2008 royal decree, and lost this power in 2011, again by royal decree.

Adel Fakeih is a Saudi Arabian engineer and the former mayor of Jeddah. He was the minister of labor from August 2010 to April 2015, minister of health between April 2014 and December 2014, and minister of economy and planning between 2015 and 2017. He has been in detention since November 2017.

Fakhro Tower is a commercial office complex in Manama, Bahrain, located across the street from the Bahrain City Centre mall. The building is constructed on 30 floors consisting of a double-height lobby with showroom space, five floors of podium parking, and 24 floors of office space. The tower was designed by The Modern Architect and constructed by Kooheji Contractors.
