The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) is the military force of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bahrain Defence Force is under the command of Bahrain's Ministry of Defence and under the leadership of a commander-in-chief who holds the rank of field marshal.
The Fifth Fleet is a numbered fleet of the United States Navy. The Royal Jordanian Navy is naval warfare branch of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Jordan. As Jordan is landlocked except at its southern extremity, with only 26 kilometres (16 mi) of shoreline along the Gulf of Aqaba providing access to the Red Sea, its Naval Force comprises 27 patrol boats, and has a total complement of more than 700 personnel, excluding the 77th Marines Reconnaissance Battalion. The Combined Task Force 152 or CTF-152 is a multinational naval task force, set up in 2004 to coordinate security operations in the Persian Gulf and is one of three task forces operated by Combined Maritime Forces (CMF). In July 2007 a crew from the destroyer USS O'Kane, attached to CTF-152, boarded a North Korean ship suspected of smuggling. CTF 152 cooperates with the naval and coast guard forces of different nations of the Persian Gulf region, and its command is rotated among member nations. Bahrain was the first Gulf Cooperation Council state to take command of the task force, in 2008.

The International Maritime Security Construct (IMSC) is a consortium of countries officially tasked with maintaining order and security in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden and Southern Red Sea, particularly regarding maritime security of global oil supply routes. It was formed on 16 September 2019 in Bahrain, by the United Kingdom, Australia, Albania, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lithuania, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. The operational arm of the IMSC is Coalition Task Force SENTINEL.
