The Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Stadium, formerly known as Duhail Stadium, is a football stadium in Doha, Qatar. [2]

Contents

History

The construction of the stadium started in 2011 and was completed by February 2013. [3] The first phase was completed in May 2012. [4] The stadium was officially inaugurated on 15 February 2013, with the first match being a Qatar Stars League fixture between the home team Lekhwiya and Al Khor. [3] [5]

The official capacity is 10,000 people and 25 gates facilitate spectators' access to the stadium. [6] The stadium is located within the complex of the Internal Security Forces in the Duhail district of the capital Doha.

The stadium hosted nine matches for the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup [7] and seven matches during the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
