Sonia Elangbam,known by the stage name Abenao Elangbam, (born September 28, 1986 ) is an Indian actress working in Manipur film.
She completed her Master in Adult Education from Manipur University.
Before coming into films, she has acted in some theatrical plays under People's Arts and Dramatic Association, Imphal.Her first film is Chingjaogum Lepliba Thamoi, where she is playing a supporting role. She is most popularly known for her role of Naobi in Thoiba Thoibi. Among her popular films were Thoiba Thoibi, Akhunba Mani, Thokkidagi Kishi, Nobap , Ekhenglaktagi Red Rose, Chumthang Makhong, Bema Bema, Liklaai, Leikang Thambal, Tabunungda Akaiba Likli , Western Sankirtan, Phijigee Mani and Waikhu.
She was awarded the Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in the film Pabunggi Cycle at the 2nd SSS MANIFA 2013.She was also awarded the Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film Tabunungda Akaiba Likli at the 3rd SSS MANIFA 2014. She was also honoured with Th. Ashokumar Memorial Award in Arts and Culture at the 10th Foundation Day of USU, Khurai.

Phijigee Mani is a 2011 Manipur film directed by O. Gautam, co-written and produced by Takhelchangbam Ongbi Medha Sharmi, and starring an ensemble cast including Gurumayum Bonny, Abenao Elangbam and Leishangthem Tonthoingambi Devi in the lead roles. The film garnered positive response from the critics. It was selected the Best Regional Film Award in Manipuri language and Best Supporting Actress at the 59th National Film awards for the year 2011. Phijigee Mani was also selected for Indian Panorama 2011.

The film was premiered at Manipur Film Development Corporation (MFDC) on 21 September 2013. It was also premiered at Dussehra Ground Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi on 28 September 2013.
Kaiku Rajkumar is an Indian actor, who has appeared in Manipur films. Kaiku made his film debut with the 2003 romantic film Kalpana. He has appeared in more than 400 Manipur films. Some of his films are Ta-Tomba the Great, Nungshit Mapi, and Mami. In addition to films, he has also worked in Shumang Leela including Border.

She is a B.Com graduate and has taken keen interest in performing arts since very young age. Tonthoi loves sports and has actively been volunteering in social service since her childhood. She completed her Master in Social Work from Manipur University.
Nobap is a 2009 Manipuri film directed by Heisnam Tomba, written and produced by Suresh Hidang, and presented by Madhuri. It stars Raju Nong, Gokul Athokpam, Abenao Elangbam and Ranjana with master Denil, master Chingkheinganba, master Santosh, master Oliver Chiru, master Russel, master Robinson, master Biken and master Chingkhei in the lead, with Sorojini, Shanti and Dhonen portraying supporting roles. There is also special appearance of international footballer Renedy Singh in the film. O. Boby is the sound designer of the film. Bishe Moirangthem, Tomba Thangjam and Mangangsana composed the soundtrack and Suresh Hidang wrote the lyrics. The film was released in the year 2009.
Gokul Athokpam is an Indian actor who appears in Manipur films. He is a resident of Thangmeiband, Imphal, Manipur. In addition to films, he has also worked in theatres, and has acted in many Shumang Leelas, including Lidishigi Gulap, Nangna Luhongdringei and Lambidudei. In 2001, he got the title of Dawn Actor. He has acted in many famous Manipur films. Among them, Lucy Kamei, Tayai, Thabaton-1,2, Thouri, Imagee Ibungo, Lambidudei, Sakthibee Tampha, Western Sankirtan, Lamjasara, Tabunungda Akaiba Likli and Eidi Thamoi Pikhre may be mentioned.
Kum Kang Kum Kabi Chang is a 2015 Manipur film directed by Bishwamittra and produced by S. Minakumari. The film features Gurumayum Bonny, Rahul, Sonia Hijam and Bala Hijam in the lead roles. Surjit Saikhom, Jasmine Elangbam, Shyamdhani, R.K. Hemabati are playing supporting roles. The story of the film was written by Dr. M. Priyobrata and screenplay by Bishwamittra. Kum Kang Kum Kabi Chang was released at MSFDS, Imphal, on 15 November 2015. The film was screened in various theatres of Manipur in March 2016. In spite of its good content, the film didn't attract large number of audiences in theatres since it was screened just after the stoppage of screening films in theatres and other film-related activities, which was relaxed in March.

It stars Kaiku Rajkumar, Abenao Elangbam and Prity Maibam in the lead, with Binitia, Ashokumar, Geetchandra, Puinabati, Priya, Nando Sharma, Brojendrakumar, Somorendro and many others playing supporting roles. The story of the film was written by Ajit Yumnam. Nongmatang got selection at the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival 2014.
23rd Century : Ngasigee Matungda is a 2014 Manipur film directed by Dinesh Tongbram and produced by Thambal Laishram, under the banner of United Films Manipur. The film features Gurumayum Bonny, Kaiku Rajkumar, Bala Hijam and Sonia Hijam in the lead roles. The film was premiered at Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT) on 17 October 2014. It is based on the 1992 theatrical play of Kamakhya Sangeet Mandal with the same title.

Hingbagee Mahao was released at Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT), Imphal, on 29 April 2015. It won many awards, including the Best Feature Film Award at the 5th SSS MANIFA 2016.

It was released at Range Ground, Yaiskul on 1 October 2017. It was also premiered at Shankar Lal Auditorium, North Campus, University of Delhi, on 20 August 2017.

It is a romantic film about a Hindu guy Leishabi and a Muslim lady Aliyah, where religion happens to be the main reason for their relationship to fall apart.

The film was released on 6 January 2019 at MSFDS, Palace Compound, Imphal. The film earned 11 nominations at the 8th SSS MANIFA 2019, winning 7 awards including the Best Feature Film Award.
Khamba Thoibi is a legendary Meitei language epic poem based on the 12th century love saga between Khuman prince Khamba and Moirang princess Thoibi in the ancient kingdom of Moirang. The poetry is composed by the legendary Bard Hijam Anganghal of Samurou and is regarded as the national epic of the Manipuris. The poetry is the greatest of all the epic poetries in Meitei literature, with 34,000 verses, even longer than the Ramayana.
