Abhaypura is a village in Nawa tehsil of Didwana Kuchaman District of Rajasthan state in India, named after Maharaja Abhay Singh of Marwar. It was one of the 40 villages in the Princely State Abhaypura which was half of Maroth state and was founded around 1683 AD (1740 BS) by Maharaja Bijay Singh, third son of Maharaja Raghunath Singh Mertia of Panch Mahal Maroth. [1] Later, after a treaty in 1820 AD it became a Thikana (Tributary State) of Marwar and is now called as Thikana Jiliya (where the royal family shifted c. 1897 AD) and has 14 villages, as the rest of the villages were given as appanages or jagirs to younger brothers. The Jodhpur Tekra are a small group of hills located in the south-western part of Ahmedabad in India. These hills are named after the Jodhpur state in Rajasthan. During Maharaja Abhay Singhji's time, the Jodhpur army attacked the city of Ahmedabad and captured it from its Muslim rulers. All the major thikana's of the Marwar state participated in this war, including the Thakur of Nimaj, the Thakur of Ras, Thakur Abhay Singh of Balunda, and Thakur Kusal Singh of Auwa. Thakur Abhay Singh of Balunda looted Nangara & Nishan from the sultan of Ahmedabad, which was still kept in Balunda Garh, during Holi. Thikana's Damami poured opium water on Nangara in remembrance of the victory; Thakur Aabay Singhji built a gate in the fort called the Fateh pole after this victory.

Raja Raisal, reigned 1584 to 1614, He married Chauhan Rajput Princess Kisnavati Nirban, the only daughter of Raja Peetha Nirban of Khandela and thus, was also the 1st Shekhawat Raja of Khandela. Son of Maharao Suja of Amarsar, was granted the estate (jagir) of 7 villages in Lamiya on death of his father, thereupon he joined Imperial Service at Delhi where he was granted the title of "Raja" also a title of "Darbari" and a Mansab of 1250 sawars which was later raised to 3000 by Emperor Akbar. He died about 1614 in South India. He was great-grandson of MahaRao Shekha, King of Amarsar and he belonged to the Kachwaha Clan of Amber/Jaipur Royal Family. The Shekhawats ruled over the Shekhawati region for over 500 years and are honoured with the hereditary title of "Tazimi Sirdars", whom the Maharaja of Jaipur receives by rising from his seat.

Kingdom of Marwar, also known as the Jodhpur State under the British, was a kingdom in the Marwar region from 1243 to 1818 and a princely state under British rule from 1818 to 1947. It was established in Pali by Rao Siha, possibly a migrant Gahadavala noble, in 1243. His successors continued to struggle against regional powers for domination and 9 out of 15 rulers till 1438 died in combat. In 1395, its capital was changed to Mandore by Rao Chunda of Mandore and to Jodhpur in 1459 by Rao Jodha.

Maukala is a city in Merta Taluk, Nagaur District of the State of Rajasthan in India embellished with temples and palaces. It is also referred to as Mokala or Myokal in some texts. Merta City is bounded by Mokala in the west. Ajmer and Jodhpur are easily accessible from Mokala via roadways. The nearest airport is at Jodhpur. The prime attractions include Meera Bai Temples, Pushkar and palaces in the region.

Maroth is a village located in Nawa, Nagaur district, in the state of Rajasthan, India. The area surrounding the village is named Gaurati, which means "The Land of Gaurs". This area was a principality granted by Maharaja Vigharaj Chauhan to Maharaja Bawan Gaur in 1260 AD. In 1659 AD, it was granted by Aurangzeb to Maharaja Raghunath Singh for his service in battle. During this time period the Gaur Rajputs of this area paid more than 6.65% of the Jama (tax) of the principality according to Ain-A-Akbari.
