Abigail Posner is an American anthropologist, podcast host, speaker and author.

Early life and education

Abigail Sara Kolodny was born in West Newton, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Dr. Nancy Kolodny and Dr. Gerald Kolodny. [1] Posner graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in social anthropology. [2] While at Harvard, Posner did some acting. [3] [4]

Career

After graduating in 1995, Posner worked in management consulting. [5] Following this Posner worked at DDB Worldwide [6] [7] [8] where she was Director of Brand Strategy and Publicis New York where she was Executive Vice President, Strategy Director. In 2011, Posner left to become Director of Google's US Creative Works. [9] [10] [11] [12]

A much sought after speaker Posner has spoken at conferences around the world such as SXSW, [13] TEDActive, [14] the United Nations, on leadership, management, creativity, innovation and technology. [15] [16] She has also lectured at schools. [17]

Posner was a guest speaker at Colorado University's Leo Hill Leadership series. [18] [19]

She has written for publications such as The Drum [20] and Advertising Age. [21]

She has also been quoted in a number of publications and studies for her opinions on industry matters. [22] [23] [24] [25] [26] [27]

She is the host of the Human Code podcast. [28]

She received the Media Impact Award from the UN. [29]

Posner is a member of ENDI Corp's board of directors and sits on the advisory boards of the 890 Fifth Ave, and TheSocial Architects. [30]

Personal life

Posner lives in New York City with her husband and 3 children. [31]
