Early life and political career

Abubakar Kani Faggo was born in 1965 and hails from Bauchi State. He succeeded Adamu Gurai and was elected in 2019 to the National Assembly as a member representing Shira/Giade Federal Constituency. [1] [2]

The 2023 Bauchi State gubernatorial election took place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Bauchi State, concurrent with elections to the Bauchi State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly.
