Created by Dick Clark as a spin-off of American Bandstand, Where the Action Is premiered on June 27, 1965. The show was another step in the then-current trend of entertainment programs that targeted the teenage audience by focusing on pop music, following in the footsteps set by Shindig! and Hullabaloo. Dick Clark's voice could be heard doing the artist introductions, but he was rarely seen on the show.

Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart 1976 studio album by Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart

Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart is an album by the group of the same name, released in 1976. The group consisted of Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. Dolenz and Jones had been members of 1960s pop group/band The Monkees while Boyce and Hart had written many of the group's biggest hits such as "Last Train to Clarksville" and "(Theme from) The Monkees". As such, several publications, such as Allmusic, consider the album to be a Monkees-reunion album. Most of the musicians that appear on this album were featured on Monkees albums in the past. A majority of the vocals are done by Dolenz and Jones with Boyce And Hart contributing backing vocals and the occasional lead vocal such as Hart's on "I Love You [And I'm Glad That I Said It]". Although the album failed to make much of an impact when originally released, renewal of interest in The Monkees led to its reissue on compact disc years later. The group was called Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart because they were legally prohibited from using The Monkees name. Former Monkees members Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork were also invited to join the group, but they both declined. Peter Tork joined 'Dolenz, Jones, Boyce, & Hart' onstage for a guest appearance on their concert tour on July 4, 1976 in Disneyland. Later that year he reunited with Jones and Dolenz in the studio for the recording of the single "Christmas is My Time of the Year" b/w "White Christmas", which saw a limited release for fan club members that holiday season.

For Sale: Live at Maxwells 1986 2017 live album by The Replacements

For Sale: Live at Maxwell's 1986 is a 2017 live album by American alternative rock band The Replacements. Recorded at the famous Maxwell's at the height of the band's commercial and creative arc, it is one of the few good recordings of their live performances. The band's only previous live album—1985's The Shit Hits the Fans—was a limited cassette tape release which features poor audio quality and several false starts and stops on songs. In 2007, bassist Tommy Stinson stated that "There are no good Replacements live recordings", in part due to a lack of high-quality recordings and in part due to the band's notoriously sloppy performances due to alcohol abuse. The album was produced by Bob Mehr, who wrote the 2016 biography of the band Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements.

"Tallahassee Lassie" is a song written by Bob Crewe, Frank Slay, and Frederick Picariello and performed by Freddy Cannon. It reached #6 on the U.S. pop chart, #13 on the U.S. R&B chart, and #17 on UK Singles Chart in 1959. The song was featured on his 1960 album The Explosive! Freddy Cannon.
