Adam Roscrow (born 17 February 1995) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a striker for Welling United, on loan from The New Saints.

Club career

Roscrow played youth football for Swansea City, before joining Llantwit Major. [3] Roscrow subsequently played for Neath, Llantwit Major and Pontardawe Town, [4] before signing for Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2014. [5] At Cardiff Met, Roscrow scored 34 Welsh Premier League goals in 79 appearances. [6] In June 2019, Roscrow moved to England, signing for AFC Wimbledon. [7] He scored his first goal for Wimbledon in an EFL Trophy tie against Charlton Athletic on 1 September 2020. [8]

In January 2021, Roscrow joined The New Saints on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed, club record fee. [9] [10]

In June 2021, Roscrow returned to Cardiff Metropolitan University on a season-long loan. [11] In September 2022 he moved on loan to Bala Town. [12] He moved on loan to Welling United in September 2023. [13]

International career

On 20 March 2018, Roscrow made his Wales C debut against England C at Barry Town United's Jenner Park Stadium in a 3–2 defeat for the Welsh team. [14] In the return fixture at Moor Lane, Salford, Roscrow scored Wales' second equaliser in a 2–2 draw. [15]

The 2019–20 season was the fourth in League One, the third tier of the English football league system, for AFC Wimbledon since their promotion in 2016 from League Two. The 2020–21 AFC Wimbledon season was the club's 19th season in their history and the fifth consecutive season in EFL League One. They played at Loftus Road until the stadium was completed on 3 November. On Friday 6 November it was announced there had been a covid outbreak amongst the first team squad leading to the matches against Barrow in the FA Cup and the league fixture against Wigan being postponed. Over the weekend all members of the first team squad, staff and the U18s squad received covid testing and on Sunday the 8th it was announced the club would have to undergo a 2-week circuit breaker with all players and staff having to self isolate for 2 weeks.

The 2020–21 Newport County A.F.C. season was the club's eight consecutive season in the EFL League Two. It was Newport's 68th season in the Football League and 100th season of league football overall. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom fans were not permitted to attend matches until the League 2 Playoff semi-finals and final.

The 2021–22 season is AFC Wimbledon's 20th year in their history and sixth consecutive season back in League One. Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the 2021–22 EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022.

The 2021–22 Welsh League Cup was the 30th season of the Welsh League cup competition, which was established in 1992. The reigning champions were Connah's Quay Nomads.
