The Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education is a state government higher education institution located in Kangere, Bauchi State, Nigeria. The current provost is Adamu Magaji Yanbuga. [1] [2] [3]
The Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education was established in 2014. It was formerly known as Bauchi State Institute ADAMU TAFAWA BALEWA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION KANGERE. [4]

Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was a Nigerian politician who served as the first and only prime minister of Nigeria upon independence. A conservative Anglophile, he favoured maintaining close ties with the British. During his first few years in office as prime minister, Nigeria was a constitutional monarchy with Elizabeth II reigning as Queen of Nigeria, until Nigeria became a republic in 1963. He was both a defender of Northern special interests and an advocate of Nigerian reform and unity.
Bauchi is a city in northeast Nigeria, the Administrative center of Bauchi State, of the Bauchi Local Government Area within that State, and of the traditional Bauchi Emirate.
