Muhammad Adib Nur Hakim bin Azahari (born 9 March 1998) is a Singaporean professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Singapore Premier League club Lion City Sailors.
Adib joined Singapore Premier League club Young Lions from 2016 to 2019. However, he did not make any appearance for the club.
Adib joined newly privatised club Lion City Sailors ahead of the 2020 season. Adib made his debut in a friendly against Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on 24 November 2022. [1] Adib had the opportunity to play against Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in a club friendly at the National Stadium on 26 July 2023. Adib came on for Zharfan Rohaizad in the 79th minute. [2]
In December 2023, it was announced that Adib had extended his contract until 2025. [3] Adib made his first start and professional debut for the Lion City Sailors on 14 May 2025 against Balestier Khalsa. On the same night, the team lifted the league trophy. [4]
Despite Maxime Lestienne's equaliser in the 91st minute of the 2025 AFC Champions League Two final against Sharjah, the Sailors finished as a runner-up after conceding in the 97th minute to finish the game in a 1–2 defeat. [5]
Adib was called up to the national team for the friendly against Qatar and the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC second round match against Yemen on 14 and 19 November 2019 respectively. [6] Adib served as a back-up to Izwan Mahbud and Hassan Sunny.
