Adinam Cardozo (born 3 May 1975), simply known as Adinam, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.
Adinam began his career at União São João, where he was champion of Série B in 1996 season. On 15 February 1997, during Campeonato Paulista, ended up making history by conceding Rogério Ceni first goal. On 11 September, he was the goalkeeper in the 6–0 defeat suffered by União São João against CR Vasco da Gama, where Edmundo scored the 6 goals of the match, with Adinam defending a penalty taken by him. After leaving União São João, he played for several clubs in Brazil, ending his career in 2016 at EC Primavera. [2] [3]

He is considered one of the all-time greatest Brazilian goalkeepers and is recognised by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics as the goalkeeper to have scored the most goals in the history of football. During the height of his career (2005–2008) he was also recognized as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
