Adinegoro Award is the highest award for a work of journalism in Indonesia. Nominees come from the writings entitled "National Development" which is mentioned in the press. [1] [ clarification needed ] The award is intended to improve the quality of Indonesian journalism. It has been awarded since 1974 by the Foundation for Journalism Adinegoro Award, Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia or PWI. [1] [2]

Through his writing in various newspapers, Adinegoro has made a great contribution in developing journalism and the Indonesian language. His name was immortalized as a journalism award in Indonesia: the Adinegoro Award. Djamaluddin was a younger half-brother of Muhammad Yamin.

Abhay Chhajlani is an Indian journalist and the former Chief Editor of the Indore-based daily, Nai Dunia. He is a former President of the Indian Newspaper Society, a post which he was elected to in 2002. He has also served the society as a member of its Executive Committee. He has been associated with Blood Donation 365 Days, an initiative promoting blood donation. He is the chairman of Abhay Prashal, a social facility in Indore and has participated in several social forums. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2009, for his contributions to journalism.
