Adrian O'Connor (born 11 January 1972) is a retired male backstroke swimmer from Ireland. He competed for his native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, where he did not qualify for the final in his two individual starts (100m and 200m backstroke). He was born in New Ross, Wexford. [1]
Great Britain, represented by the British Olympic Association (BOA), competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. British athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games. He won four European championships and three world championships in a row, and swam 19 world and 28 European records in various backstroke, butterfly and medley events. Rogério Aoki Romero is a former backstroke swimmer from Brazil, who competed at five consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1988.
