Empresa Aerolineas Uruguay S.A. (also known as Aerolineas Uruguayas or Aero Uruguay) was an Uruguayan cargo airline company. It was based at Carrasco International Airport at Montevideo, Uruguay.

Aero Uruguay had a fleet mostly made up of jets, many of them formerly with Cargolux. [3] [4]

Aerolíneas Argentinas, formally Aerolíneas Argentinas S.A., is Argentina's largest airline and the country's flag carrier. The airline was created in 1949, from the merger of four companies and started operations in December 1950. A consortium led by Iberia took control of the airline in 1990, and Grupo Marsans acquired the company and its subsidiaries in 2001, following a period of severe financial difficulties that put the airline on the brink of closure. The company has been run by the Argentine government since late 2008, when the country regained control of the airline after it was taken over from the Spanish owners. PLUNA Líneas Aéreas Uruguayas S.A. was the flag carrier of Uruguay. It was headquartered in Carrasco, Montevideo and operated scheduled services within South America, as well as scheduled cargo and charter services from its hub at Carrasco International Airport.

Líneas Aéreas Privadas Argentinas, more commonly known by the acronym LAPA, was an airline based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At its heyday, the carrier operated international services to the United States and Uruguay, as well as an extensive domestic network within Argentina. Additionally, the company also operated charter services. Domestic and regional flights were operated from downtown's Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, whereas an international service to Atlanta was operated from Ministro Pistarini International Airport. LAPA was the first carrier to break a monopolistic market controlled by Aerolíneas Argentinas and its sister company Austral Líneas Aéreas, offering competitive prices.

Aerolíneas Nicaragüenses S.A., operating as Aeronica, was an airline based in Nicaragua. Compañía Boliviana de Transporte Aéreo Privado Aerosur, S.A. was a privately owned airline from Bolivia, which served as the country's flag carrier since 1998, along with state-owned Boliviana de Aviación. Headquartered in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, it operated a network of domestic and international scheduled passenger flights with its hub at the city's Viru Viru International Airport. As of 2010, the airline had 1200 employees.

Servicios Aerolineas Mexicanas, also known as SAM was a Mexican airline that operated between 1992 and 1995. It was part of the first wave of newly formed airlines following the Mexican airline deregulation of 1989. At its height in 1994, it operated a fleet of 3 Douglas DC-9-10 and 1 Boeing 737-200 aircraft. Severely affected by the Mexican peso crisis, SAM ceased all operations in April 1995.
