The Aeros Rival is a Ukrainian single-place, paraglider that was designed and produced by Aeros of Kyiv, introduced in 1997. [1]

Design and development

The Rival was intended as a competition paraglider and was AFNOR certified in 1997 in the "performance" category. It was in production in 2003, but is no longer available. The variant number indicates the wing area in square metres, rounded off to the nearest whole number. [1] [2]

Version with a 12.57 m (41.2 ft) span wing, an area of 27.74 m2 (298.6 sq ft), with 98 cells, an aspect ratio of 5.69:1 and a maximum speed of 50 km/h (31 mph). Pilot weight range is 75 to 95 kg (165 to 209 lb). [1]
Rival 29
Version with a 12.96 m (42.5 ft) span wing, an area of 29.49 m2 (317.4 sq ft), with 98 cells, an aspect ratio of 5.69:1 and a maximum speed of 50 km/h (31 mph). Pilot weight range is 85 to 105 kg (187 to 231 lb). [1]
