Afdeling Gorontalo

Afdeling Gorontalo is one of the administrative areas under the Dutch East Indies government. This is was established before November 1818 and its capital was located in Gorontalo City, which also served as the seat of the assistant resident. The first assistant resident was Samuel Mollet, and on 19 February 1825 he was replaced by J.P.C. Cambier. [1]

On 1 January 1926, the Afdeling Gorontalo was included in the administrative area of the Manado Residency, together with the Afdeling Manado and the Afdeling Midden Celebes. The Afdeling Gorontalo consists of three onderafdeling, namely Kwandang, Boalemo, and Gorontalo. [2] [3]
