African Aurora Business Network, abbreviated as AABN, is an enterprise development non-governmental Organization headquartered in Accra, Ghana. The organization assists micro and small scale enterprises (MSEs) and its environment through partnerships, capacity building, creative products and advisory services. [1]
AABN was established in 1999 and in 2001 registered by guarantee as a limited liability company in Ghana. AABN has provided business development services for government institutions such as the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Private Sector Development and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs under the UNDP Gender Programme. They also implemented projects for the International Labour Organisation as well as various clients in Ghana.
Their work also focuses on employment opportunities for university graduates. [2]

In common usage, the name "Accra" often refers to the territory of the Accra Metropolitan District as it existed before 2008, when it covered 199.4 km2 (77.0 sq mi). This territory has since been split into 13 local government districts: 12 independent municipal districts and the reduced Accra Metropolitan District (20.4 km2), which is the only district within the capital to be granted city status. This territory of 199.4 km2 contained 1,782,150 inhabitants at the 2021 census, and serves as the capital of Ghana, while the district under the jurisdiction of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly proper (20.4 km2) is distinguished from the rest of the capital as the "City of Accra".

Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is a Ghanaian politician who served as Minister for Trade and Industry from 2017 to 2023. Kyerematen was Ghana's Ambassador to the United States and later Minister of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD) and Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI) in President John Kufuor's NPP government. Kyerematen served as a trade advisor at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he coordinated the African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC).
The Ghana Institute of Languages is located in Accra, the capital of Ghana, and teaches English, French, German, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian languages. It was established in 1961 by the first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Initially, it was directly under the control of the office of the President at the Castle. It was formed to enhance the linguistic competence in modern languages of Foreign Service personnel and civil servants. Currently, The Institute is under the Ministry of Education with the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) having oversight responsibility. The head office of the Ghana Institute of Languages is currently located in the centre of the metropolis of Accra. It lies off Barnes Road in the education loop and houses the School of Languages and the administrative staff. Joyce Rosalind Aryee is a Ghanaian former politician, business executive and minister. Aryee is recognized for having served Ghana for more than 40 years in both the public and private sectors. From 2001 to 2011, she served as the chief executive officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and was the first woman in Africa to have held that role. She has also held political roles in Ghana from the early years of the PNDC government. She is currently the executive director of Salt and Light Ministries, a para-church organization. She is an Honorary Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors.

Ghana Open Data Initiative (GODI) was started in January 2012 by the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) in partnership with the Web Foundation (WF), to make Government of Ghana data available to the public for re-use. The establishment of GODI is meant to promote efficiency, transparency and accountability in governance as well as to facilitate economic growth by means of the creation of Mobile and Web applications for the Ghanaian and world markets. The project was scheduled for completion in 2014 and aimed to create a sustainable Open Data ecosystem for Ghana. GODI was launched with a 100 data sets categorized as political, legal, organizational, technical, social or economic. The vision of GODI is to develop an open data community involving the Government of Ghana, civil society organizations, industry, developer communities, academia, media practitioners, and the citizenry, to interact with one another with the aim of developing an open data portal to bring about transparency, accountability and efficiency in government.
