Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar (born 15 December 1969) is a film producer, music composer and music producer. He's currently become Chief Explorer of Komet, a content company focusing on new and progressive creative content from Southeast Asia.

Career

Media Prima Berhad and Primeworks Studios

He's currently worked as Chief Explorer of Komet, a content company focusing on new and progressive creative content from Southeast Asia. He was the former Executive Director of Content & Creative of Disney+ for Southeast Asia. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

He was also the former chief executive office of Primeworks Studios after served for 9 years where he also become executive producer for feature films and series. [6] [7] He was also formerly the chief executive officer of Media Prima Television Network (MPTN), which included all four free-to-air television channels owned by the Malaysian media group including, TV3, ntv7, 8TV, [8] [9] and TV9.[ citation needed ]

Izham's other notable stints have included heading the Media Prima Radio Networks (MPRN) with popular Malaysian radio stations including Hot FM, Kool FM, Fly FM and One FM in its stable.[ citation needed ]

Music career

A multi award-winning music producer, arranger, songwriter and musician, Izham's musical career started with legendary Positive Tone record label in 1994, [10] producing progressive music that captured the imagination of Malaysia. He first became well known by being associated the vocal group called Innuendo which he popularized.[ citation needed ]

His other feats also include launching a world-class video portal called Tonton, which was heralded as a breakthrough by the global industry, being awarded the Most Promising Entrepreneur Award by Enterprise Asia, being accepted as a delegate in the prestigious Asia Society 21 Young Leader's Summit, and recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award by VIMA (Voice of Independent Music Awards) for his contribution to music.

Izham was also the Chairman of the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (CMCF) besides being a Trustee of Yayasan 1Malaysia. He had a monthly column in the New Straits Times called “For The Record” where he talks about all things music and creativity. [11]

Ejen Ali: The Movie is a 2019 Malaysian Malay-language animated spy-fi action film. The film follows a 12-year old spy Agent, Ali, as he embraces his role in MATA, the secret agency, and uncover the secret technology which has threatened the fate of Cyberaya. But unknown to Ali, MATA has also created a new improved version of IRIS, the IRIS NEO, to use the Override at will. While the new device itself begin to use for all agents, Ali question his usefulness to MATA. He is approached by another mysterious person named Niki, who holds a personal connection between Ali. Risking his loyalty to MATA, Ejen Ali will now embarks his thrilling chase to unravel those mysterious links.
