It is believed he was born somewhere between the late 1940s or mid-1950s in Batchama to Kaka Yakubu. At 4 he was working in the fields scaring away birds from the crops with a slingshot. At 11 he left home and worked from numerous Alhaji in and around Kaduna. He worked with horses mostly in the stables and gained a knowledge about these magnificent creatures like no one else.
During the 1970s Ahmadu established a successful construction and development company called Songhai Pty Ltd based in Kaduna. During the 1970s and 1980s Songhai Pty Ltd constructed major projects through Northern Nigeria for major commercial, industrial and Government clients such as UNTL, Zamfara (Textiles), Peugeot Automobile Nigeria, Borno, Plateau, Kano, and Kaduna State Governments. During this period he was Captain of the Kaduna Polo Club, transforming it into a northern hub for the game and the venue for regional and international polo tournaments.
Once even beating Prince Charles he was praised to be the worlds "best black back" as this was his position in polo. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer and died in 1997. The Kaduna Polo Club was renamed the "Ahmadu Yakubu Polo Ground" after his death, and now renamed as HRH Kabir Usman Polo Ground in order to honor the then emir of Katsina state Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman
Sir Siddiq Abubakar III, GCON, KBE was a Nigerian Muslim leader. He served as the 17th Sultan of Sokoto between 17 June 1938 and 1 November 1988, making him the longest-reigning Sultan.

Katagum is a town, a local government area and a traditional emirate in Bauchi State of north eastern Nigeria. The town is located on the northern bank of the Jama'are River, which is a tributary of the Hadejia. Most of the inhabitants are peoples from the Fulani, Kanuri, Karai-karai and Hausa tribes. The chief agricultural products include peanuts (groundnuts), sorghum, millet, rice, cowpeas, cotton, indigo, and gum arabic. Livestock include horses, cattle, goats, sheep, donkeys and a lot of poultry.

Barewa College is a college in Zaria, Kaduna State, northern Nigeria. Founded in 1921 by British Governor General Hugh Clifford, it was originally known as Katsina College. It switched its name to Kaduna College in 1938 and to Government College, Zaria in 1949 before settling on Barewa College. It is one of the largest boarding schools in Northern Nigeria and was the most-celebrated post-primary schools there up to the early 1960s. The school is known for the large number of elites from the region who attended and counts among its alumni include Tafawa Balewa who was Prime Minister of Nigeria from 1960 to 1966, four heads of state of Nigeria. The school is located along Gaskiya road in the Tukur -Tukur area of Zaria.
Alhaji Sir Usman Nagogo dan Muhammadu Dikko was Emir of Katsina from 19 May 1944, until his death. A Fulani from the Sullubawa Clan, he succeeded his father, Muhammadu Dikko, as Emir, and was succeeded by his son, Muhammadu Kabir Usman.
Hassan Usman Katsina, titled Chiroman Katsina, was a Nigerian general who was the last Governor of Northern Nigeria. He served as Chief of Army Staff during the Nigerian Civil War and later became the Deputy Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters.

Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Kabir Usman was the 49th Emir of Katsina from 18 March 1981, until his death in March 2008. He was the tenth Fulani emir, as well as the third emir from the Sullubawa dynasty. He succeeded his father Usman Nagogo, and was succeeded by his son, the current emir Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
Ahmed Tijjani Mora (OON) is a Nigerian pharmacist, academic, former Registrar and now Chairman of the Governing Council of Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. He is the National President, Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association. He was elected President of the Alumni Association in August 2015 at the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the association. The assembly was attended by delegates from over 25 States. Prior to his election, he was the substantive Deputy National president of the association.
Samaila Suleiman is a Nigerian politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency of Kaduna State from 2015 to 2023. He was elected under the All Progressives Congress platform in March 2015. In March 2022, he resigned from the ruling APC to the Peoples Democratic Party after an interest of Governor Nasir El-Rufai's son, Bello, on his seat in the green chamber.
