Olympic Airlines, formerly named Olympic Airways for at least four decades, was the flag carrier airline of Greece. The airline's head office was located in Athens. The airline operated services to 37 domestic destinations and to 32 destinations world-wide. The airline's main base was at Athens International Airport, "Eleftherios Venizelos", with hubs at Thessaloniki International Airport, "Macedonia", Heraklion International Airport, "Nikos Kazantzakis" and Rhodes International Airport, "Diagoras". Olympic Airlines also owned a base at London Heathrow Airport. By December 2007, the airline employed about 8,500 staff.
C.A.I. Second S.p.A. was an Italian airline operating flights for its parent company, Alitalia. When Alitalia merged with Air One, it didn't close C.A.I. so that it could preserve slots at Linate Airport.

It ceased operations in 2010 due to economic difficulties. The repossession of two of their Airbus A320 aircraft, 87 and 88, was documented on Discovery channel TV programme Airplane Repo. The company slogan was More than a flight.

Its collapse, over lease payments for these massive aircraft, left only the Volga-Dnepr Airlines/Antonov Airlines joint partnership in this market. Its main base was Chertovitskoye Airport, Voronezh. Polet is the Russian word for flight.

It had also two SAAB 340A cargo variants. 2001 – the first long-term contract with DHL. 2003 – extension of the business with operation for TNT and UPS. Cargo charter flights for the biggest courier companies – DHL, UPS, FEDEX and TNT, based on direct contracts, or in co-operation with Bridges Worldwide.ABC operated also ad-hock charter flights. The airline is under reorganisation and planning to restart regular operations Q2/Q3 2017 using regional, narrow and wide body aircraft.
Olympic Air S.A. is a regional airline, a subsidiary of the Greek carrier Aegean Airlines.
