Air Rum was an airline registered in Sierra Leone, though based in Amman owned by Jordanian business man Mohammad Ibrahim Abu Sheikh, Jordan, which operated leasing and charter flights out Queen Alia International Airport, Amman. [1]
The airline was established in 2002 as a subsidiary of RUM Group by Mohammad Abu Sheikh, who served as President and General Manager. [1] Services were somewhat limited as Air Rum was on the List of air carriers banned in the European Union due to safety concerns. Air Rum became inoperational in 2008 and was subsequently dismantled, in favor of Petra Airlines, another subsidiary of RUM Group.
The Air Rum fleet consisted of a number of Lockheed L-1011 TriStar aircraft, the last of which went into storage in August 2008, marking the end of the airline's business. [2]
On 20 September 2005, an Air Rum aircraft full of Gambian football fans heading for Lima, Peru faked a fuel starvation emergency so that the flight had to divert to Piura. [3] The fans were going to support their national team playing in the city for the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship.

North American Airlines, Inc., was an American airline with its headquarters at the HLH Building in Peachtree City, Georgia in Greater Atlanta, USA. Prior to May 2008, it operated scheduled international services from the USA to Africa and Guyana. Later it operated domestic and international charter services and wet lease services. Its main aircraft and maintenance base was Tampa International Airport.
Gulf Air is the state-owned airline and the flag carrier of Bahrain. Headquartered in Muharraq, the airline operates scheduled flights to 52 destinations in 28 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Its main hub is Bahrain International Airport. Gulf Air is the sponsor of the Bahrain Grand Prix and Bahrain International Airshow, where some of its fleet of aircraft sport liveries of the event. It was formerly a multinational airline owned by Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Qatar. In 2002, Qatar became the first nation to leave the Gulf Air consortium, followed by Abu Dhabi in 2006 and finally Oman in 2007, leaving the airline completely Bahrain-based, to set up their own airlines: Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways and Oman Air respectively.
J-Air Co., Ltd., is a regional commuter airline with its headquarters in the Terminal Building in Osaka International Airport near Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan and its main hub at Osaka International Airport. J-Air previously had its headquarters in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Its operations include scheduled passenger services to 17 destinations across regional Japan, under Japan Airlines flight numbers. The airline has a fleet of 35 aircraft, consisting of Embraer 170s and Embraer 190s linking tier-two and tier-three cities in Japan as to bypass JAL's congested hub in Tokyo.
Meridiana Fly S.p.A., operating as Meridiana, was a privately owned Italian airline headquartered in Olbia with its main base at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport. It operated scheduled and charter flights to domestic, European and intercontinental destinations from several Italian bases. Some of its operations were carried out by the old Air Italy under the Meridiana brand. It was owned by Qatar Airways through AQA Holding (49%) and Alisarda S.p.A. (51%), who rebranded the airline as the new Air Italy effective 1 March 2018.

Gambia International Airlines Limited (GIA) was the national airline of the Gambia, headquartered in Banjul. It operated mostly regional passenger services within West Africa out of Banjul International Airport, as well as flights to London. The airline was owned by the Government of the Gambia (99%) and Gambia Telecommunications Company (1%).
MyTravel Airways Limited was a British scheduled and charter airline with headquarters in Manchester, England. It operated worldwide holiday charter services mainly for its parent company, the MyTravel Group. The airline merged with Thomas Cook Airlines UK Limited in 2008 and was renamed Thomas Cook Airlines Limited.
Bellview Airlines was an airline headquartered at Bellview Plaza in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. Founded in 1992 and having had 308 employees, it operated scheduled passenger flights within Africa as well as to London out of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. The airline was shut down in 2009.

It operates worldwide charter flights, provides wet lease services to major airlines seeking additional capacity and is also an important provider of air transportation for UN peacekeeping forces. Its main base is Queen Alia International Airport (AMM/OJAI), Amman from where it operates its fleet of Wide Body and Narrow Body aircraft. In addition it has its own MRO which forms part of is Operations & Technical Centre opened in October 2010.

The airline was based at Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, focussing at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, Mehrabad International Airport, Tehran and Tripoli International Airport.

Petra Airlines was an airline based in Amman, Jordan. The company was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary of RUM Group, but acquired its first airplane only in October 2010. The name of the company was derived from the rock cut city of Petra, one of the most famous tourist sights in Jordan.
Royal Wings was a Royal Jordanian Group Company and the charter arm of Royal Jordanian, was an airline based in Amman, Jordan. Its main base was at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Amman with hubs also at Amman Civil Airport (ADJ) and King Hussein International Airport (AQJ).
