Ajebo Hustlers is a Nigerian Afrobeats and Highlife music duo composed of Piego (Isaiah Precious) and Knowledge (George Dandeson), a rapper. [1] They were nominated for the 2022 Headies Awards for Songwriter of the Year and won the Best Duo at the Soundcity MVP Awards in 2023. [2] [3] [4]

Career

Piego and Knowledge met while working at a restaurant in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. They officially formed the group in 2015 following the release of their single "Bole and Fish Remix." [5]

In 2020, they gained recognition after the release of their single "Barawo" produced by 1da Banton, and the remix featuring Davido. Their 2021 single "Pronto," featuring Omah Lay debuted on the TurnTable Top 50 charts. [6] [7]

In early 2021, Apple Music selected Ajebo Hustlers as part of Nigeria's local 'Up Next' program, which spotlights rising artists. Their debut studio album, Kpos Lifestyle, Vol. 1 was released the same year. [8] [9] [10]

<i>African Giant</i> 2019 studio album by Burna Boy

African Giant is the fourth studio album by Nigerian singer Burna Boy. The album was released on July 26, 2019, by Spaceship Entertainment, Bad Habit, Atlantic Records and Warner Music. The album is a mixture of Afrobeats, Afrobeat, dancehall, pop and hip hop. It was produced primarily by Kel-P, along with production from Benjamz, Dre Skull and Skrillex, among others. The album features guest appearances from Jorja Smith, Jeremih, Damian Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Angelique Kidjo, Serani, M.anifest, YG and Future. It was supported by eight singles, including "On the Low", which won Viewers' Choice at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, "Killin Dem", which won Song of the Year at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, among other awards; and "Anybody", which Burna Boy performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The Headies 2019 was the thirteenth edition of The Headies. It was held on October 19, 2019, at the Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. Themed "Power of a Dream", the ceremony was hosted by rapper Reminisce and actress Nancy Isime. After shortlisting thousands of entries submitted between January 2018 and June 2019, the organizers of the ceremony announced the nominees on 1 October 2019. Burna Boy set a record for the most nominations in one night with 10 nominations. Teni followed with 6 and Wizkid with 5. The ceremony featured performances from a number of artists, including Styl-Plus, Sunny Neji, Duncan Mighty, Teni and Victor AD. Teni won the most awards with 4. Rema won the Next Rated award, beating Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Lyta, Victor AD and Zlatan.

Akintunde Abiodun Timileyin, known professionally as T.I Blaze, is a Nigerian singer, and songwriter currently signed to Dvpper Music. He rose to stardom with the release of his sleeper hit single "Sometimes" in 2021 which spawned success in 2022, following the remix with one of Nigerian most influential artists in Africa Olamide, which earned him his first chart entry at number three on Nigeria TurnTable Songs chart, and at number sixteen, on TurnTable End of the Year Top 100 of 2022.

"Baddest Boy" is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter Skiibii, released on 4 November 2021 by More Grace Music. It became a commercial success in Nigeria, and was produced by Runcheck. A remix of the song featuring Davido was released on 21 January 2022 and became a commercial success in the U.K., and America. "Baddest Boy" spent five consecutive weeks at number 1 on TurnTable Top 50, number three on U.K. Official Afrobeats Chart, and at number eleven on Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs.
