Akimasa Ishikawa is a former Japanese politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives.
He graduated from Kokugakuin University and served as a state Minister for Digital Transformation. [1]

He has worked extensively at the Kuma Kogen Astronomical Observatory near Kuma,Ehime Prefecture,where he remains a staff member. His observations of asteroid brightness are well known.
