Akimbo is the second and final studio album by Australian DJ Friendly. It was released in July 2000, peaking at number 22 on the ARIA Charts. Three of its singles peaked inside the ARIA top 100 singles chart. [1]

Rogue Traders is an Australian electronic rock band formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2002 by mainstay James Ash on keyboards. In 1989, Ash met fellow original member Steve Davis in London while both were working as DJs. Before forming Rogue Traders, the pair had worked together on many projects, including the dance music act Union State, which relocated to Melbourne in 1992. The group's name comes from the 1999 drama film, Rogue Trader. They were joined in 2004 by soap opera actress, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, on lead vocals, Cameron McGlinchey on drums and Tim Henwood on guitar. Davis continued as a behind-the-scenes member, contributing to the songwriting process but not making any public appearances with the group.
"I Think I'm in Love with You" is a song written and produced by Cory Rooney and Dan Shea for Jessica Simpson's 1999 debut album, Sweet Kisses. It contains a sample of singer-songwriter John Mellencamp's "Jack & Diane" (1982) and was released as the album's third and final single in mid-2000; in Japan, it was issued as the album's second single in February 2000. The single reached the top 10 in Australia and Canada and the top 20 in Iceland, New Zealand, Scotland and the United Kingdom. In the United States, it peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Space" is a song by American musician Prince from his 1994 album Come. The B-side of the single is actually the album track. The A-side is the Universal Love Radio Remix of "Space", with completely new lyrics.
Manuel Joseph "Man" Parrish is an American songwriter, vocalist and producer. He, along with artists such as Yellow Magic Orchestra, Kraftwerk, Art of Noise, Arthur Baker, Afrika Bambaataa, John Robie, Jellybean Benitez, Lotti Golden, Richard Scher and Aldo Marin, helped create and define electro in the early 1980s.
Torch the Moon is the fifth studio album by Australian band The Whitlams, released by Black Yak through Warner in 2002. It peaked at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. It received platinum album certification from ARIA.
"All I Wanna Do" is a song written by Brian Higgins, Stuart McLennan, Tim Powell, and Matt Gray for Australian singer Dannii Minogue's third studio album, Girl (1997). The song was produced by Higgins and Gray. "All I Wanna Do" marked a significant change in Minogue's career and image, as did her album Girl from which it was taken. Her image had become highly sexualised, culminating in her nude calendar photo shoot and the suggestive videos and album artwork which accompanied her new releases. This was also the first release on Minogue's new record deal with Warner Bros. Records.
"Need You Tonight" is a song by the Australian rock band INXS, released as the first single from their 1987 album, Kick, as well as the fourth song on the album. It is the only INXS single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also achieved their highest charting position in the United Kingdom, where the song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart; however, this peak was only reached after a re-release of the single in November 1988. On its first run on the UK charts in October 1987, it stalled at No. 58. It was one of the last songs recorded for the album, yet it would arguably become the band's signature song.
"I Wanna Love You" is a song written and recorded by Akon featuring Snoop Dogg. It was released in October 2006 as the second single from his second studio album, Konvicted. It is also featured on Snoop Dogg's eighth album, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. This song was Akon's first #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also Snoop's second #1 on the same chart. It also reached a peak of #3 on the UK Singles Chart. The track originally had Akon as a featured artist and was performed by Plies, then an up-and-coming rapper from Fort Myers, Florida, but his verse was replaced by Snoop's and his name has been left out from the writers' credits. This song was #88 on MTV Asia's list of Top 100 Hits of 2007. The song was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 50th Grammy Awards in 2008.
"Better Off Alone" is a song by Alice Deejay, the trance music project of Dutch producer DJ Jurgen in collaboration with Wessel van Diepen, Dennis van den Driesschen, Sebastiaan Molijn and Eelke Kalberg. In 1997, the song was released as an instrumental by DJ Jurgen on Violent Records. Later releases of the track included vocals by Judith Pronk, who would later become a seminal part of the Alice Deejay project.
"My Happiness" is a song by Australian rock band Powderfinger. It was released via record label Universal Music Australia on 21 August 2000 as the first single from the band's fourth album, Odyssey Number Five. Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning wrote the lyrics for "My Happiness" as a reflection on the time the band spent touring to promote their work, and the loneliness that came as a result. It was inspired by his love of gospel and soul music. The rest of the band are co-credited with Fanning for composing the track. Despite its melancholy mood, "My Happiness" is considered by many to be a love song, a suggestion Fanning regards as mystifying.
"Dance Floor Anthem ", known as "Dance Floor Anthem" on the album, is a song by American pop punk band Good Charlotte on their fourth studio album, Good Morning Revival (2007). The song became the band's best-selling single in Australia, reaching number two for three nonconsecutive weeks and earning a platinum certification. In the US, the song peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also certified platinum. Elsewhere, the single reached number 11 in New Zealand, number 18 in Slovakia, number 19 in Finland, and number 35 in Canada.
"Don't You Wanna Feel" is a song written by James Ash and Natalie Bassingthwaighte for the Rogue Traders' third studio album Better in the Dark. It was released on schedule as the album's first single on 29 September 2007. It was leaked onto P2P networks on 7 September 2007.
"Burn" is a song written by Tina Arena, Pam Reswick, and Steve Werfel for Arena's third album, In Deep (1997). The song was successful in her native Australia, reaching number two on the ARIA Singles Chart and earning a gold sales certification. At the time of its release, "Burn" was Australia's fastest-added single to radio. Arena also recorded the song in Spanish, and the Italian version, "Ti Voglio Qui", was released as a single in several countries in Europe.

"Wiggle It" is a song performed by Australian singer-songwriter, Ricki-Lee Coulter. It was co-written and co-produced by Coulter and Israel Cruz. The song features additional rap vocals by Samir. Released both physically and digitally on 13 September 2008 "Wiggle It" serves as the lead single from Coulter's compilation album, Ricki-Lee: The Singles.
"Caught in the Crowd" is a song by Australian singer songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke and released in February 2009 as the second single to be lifted from Miller-Heidke's second album Curiouser. It was written by Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall. The song peaked at number 33 on the ARIA Charts and was certified gold.
"Hold Me" is a song by Australian musical duo Savage Garden, released as the sixth overall single from their second studio album, Affirmation. Released in the United Kingdom in November 2000 and in Australia in January 2001, the single reached number 54 in Australia and became a top-20 hit in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The music video features Darren walking around Borough Market, and streets in South London, whilst trucks drive in and out of them.
"My Kind of Love" is a song recorded by Scottish recording artist Emeli Sandé for her debut studio album, Our Version of Events (2012). It was released on 8 June 2012 as the album's fourth single and would go on to become a top-twenty hit on the UK Singles Chart. A year after its first release, in August 2013, It was announced that "My Kind of Love" would serve as the second single for the American market, after "Next to Me" was released as the album's first single. A brand new music video for the American release began production in mid-August.
