Akshara Singh is an Indian actress who is primarily active in Bhojpuri films and, is a recipient of several awards. [1] [2] Singh is known for her roles in films like action drama Tabadala , political drama Sarkar Raj and action romance Satya . She is one of the highest-paid actresses in Bhojpuri cinema. [1] [3]

Career

Singh made her acting debut opposite Ravi Kishan in the 2010 action drama Satyamev Jayate. She subsequently appeared in 2011 family drama Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye. [4] Singh also appeared in the 2016 romantic drama A Balma Bihar Wala opposite Khesari Lal Yadav and in 2017 Action Drama Satya , Tabadla , Maa Tujhe Salaam opposite Pawan Singh.

Singh first appeared in Hindi television in 2015 on Kaala Teeka and Service Wali Bahu on Zee TV. [5] Singh subsequently played the role of Gandhari in the Indian historical epic Suryaputra Karn and Kadika for the historical show Porus on Sony TV. [6]

Media appearance

Singh joined Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj campaign hinting she may contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. [23] She said:

"If it’s in my destiny and I’ll get love and support of people I may contest the poll but only time will tell about this [...] Being a daughter of Bihar, I would love to serve for the betterment and development of the State."

BJP declared his as a party Candidate to 2024 Indian General Election for Asansol Lok Sabha constituency but Singh denied to contest election from there. Later on, he decided to contest election from Karakat Lok Sabha constituency as a Independent candidate. He was defeated with a margin of over one lakh votes by Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha in this election.

Service Wali Bahu is an Indian television drama show, which premiered on 23 February 2015 and It airs on Zee TV. The show produced by Raakesh Paswan, under Village Boy Production. The show starring with Abhishek Rawat and Kratika Sengar in lead roles. Maa Tujhe Salaam is a 2018 Indian Bhojpuri-language romance film directed by Aslam Sheikh and produced by Abhay Sinha & Samir Aftab. Pawan Singh is in lead role and Madhu Sharma and Akashra Singh in his opposite. While Surendra Pal, Prakash Jais, Sameer Aftab, Ayaz Khan, Manoj Tiger, Brijesh Tripathi and others in supporting roles.

Archana Prajapati is an Indian actress and model. She has established a successful career in Bollywood and Bhojpuri cinema, but has also appeared in Hindi films. She was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and debuted in Bhojpuri cinema in 2017 with the film Ziddi.

"Dilbar" is a Hindi language originally released as part of the soundtrack for the 1999 film Sirf Tum. The songs was originally composed by Nadeem-Shravan and sung by Alka Yagnik, with lyrics by Sameer. The song's original music video features Sushmita Sen and Sanjay Kapoor. The Sirf Tum soundtrack album sold 2.2 million units, and was the ninth best-selling Bollywood music album of 1999.

<i>Satyameva Jayate 2</i> 2021 film directed by Milap Zaveri

Satyameva Jayate 2 is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language vigilante action thriller film written and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri with production by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment. It is a spiritual sequel of the 2018 film Satyameva Jayate and stars John Abraham in a triple role as father and twin sons, alongside Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai and Anup Soni. The release date was postponed due to rise in COVID-19 cases.
