"Akwaba" is a song by Ivorian music quartet, Magic System which features Yemi Alade and Mohamed Ramadan. [1] It was recorded and released as the official anthem of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF African Cup of Nations [2] which begun 13 January 2024 and ends on 11th February, 2024 in the West African country of Côte d'Ivoire. [3]

The song was written by Magic System, Yemi Alade, Mohamed Ramadan and Fargyle Blax. [4] It was produced by Dany Synthé and released by Universal Music Africa on 13 October 2023. [2] [5] The official video was directed by Tony Rodriguez and released on YouTube on December 1, 2023. [6]

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, also referred to as AFCON 2025 or CAN 2025, is scheduled to be the 35th edition of the biennial African football tournament organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Morocco was originally scheduled to host the 2015 edition, but withdrew due to fears stemming from the Western African Ebola virus epidemic. Black Magic is the third studio album by Nigerian singer Yemi Alade, released by Effyzzie Music Group on December 15, 2017. A follow-up to her 2017 extended play Mama Afrique, the album features guest appearances from Falz and Olamide. Black Magic was made available for pre-order in November 2017. Prior to disclosing its title, Alade posted the acronym BM on social media and wanted her fans to guess its meaning.
