Al-Imtiaz Academy is a school in Abbottabad, Pakistan. It consists of three branches, a girls' high school and college, a boys' high school and an elementary school.

The academy was founded by Imtiaz Nawaz (a grandmother-in-law of Canadian singer Dawud Wharnsby) in 1986, and now has about 1000 students. [1]

Ahmad Faraz Pakistani poet

Syed Ahmad Shah, better known by his pen name Ahmed Faraz, was a Pakistani Urdu poet, scriptwriter and chairman of Pakistan Academy of Letters. He wrote his poetry under pseudonym Faraz. During his lifetime, he criticised military rule and coup d'état in the country and was displaced by the military dictators. He was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Alizeh Imtiaz is the a Pakistani filmmaker. She's the first Pakistani to have successfully had a debut short film screened at the London Filmmakers Convention. Rao Qamar Suleman, NI(M), SBt was the 12th Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force. The four-star rank Air Force officer commanded the PAF from 2009 to 2012.
