Al Mirqab is owned by Qatar's former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. [1] The yacht was built at Peters Schiffbau Wewelsfleth yard in Germany. [1] The yacht's architect was Tim Heywood, [2] while the interior design was done by Andrew Winch Designs. [1] During construction, the yacht was known as Project May. [1]

The Al Mirqab was completed in 2008. [3] The yacht has a length of 133 meters and a beam of 19 meters. [2] [4] The summer deadweight of the yacht is 1,440 DWT, while the gross tonnage is 9,518 GT. [4] She is built of steel and can cruise at 21 knots with a maximum speed of 23 knots. [3] The yacht spends most of the year around the Faliro coastal area of Athens, Greece.

Interior and entertainment

The yacht can accommodate 24 guests in 10 guest suites with two VIP suites for the yacht owner. [4] The suites are large; each with their own bathroom, living room and double bedroom. [4] The yacht has a crew of 60. [3]

The amenities on board include a cinema, outside bars, inside swimming pool and outside jacuzzi and a helicopter pad. [3] [4]

Like many yachts, she has undergone a number of refits, a major one having been in 2000 in Germany. She can handle 12 guests supported by a crew of 16 sailors. Phocea is a schooner with four masts. Phocea was originally built for speed, and she crossed the Atlantic in 8 days and achieved speeds of 30 knots under sail. The yacht has also been converted more for luxury and used on the charter market.

Motor Yacht A is a superyacht designed by Philippe Starck and engineered by naval architect Martin Francis. It was built by the Blohm + Voss shipyard at the HDW deepwater facility in Kiel. It was ordered in November 2004, and delivered in 2008 at a rumoured cost of US$300 million. With a length of 119 metres (390 ft) and measuring almost 6,000 tonnes, it is one of the largest motor yachts in the world. It is owned by Russian entrepreneur and industrialist Andrey Melnichenko. Azzam is a private superyacht built by German shipyard Lürssen Yachts. Azzam was launched on 5 April 2013. At 180 metres (590 ft) in length, she is the longest private motor yacht in the world. She has a beam of 20.8 metres (68 ft) and an unusually shallow draft of 4.3 m. The yacht was delivered on 9 September 2013.

<i>Vibrant Curiosity</i>

Vibrant Curiosity is a megayacht, owned by German entrepreneur Reinhold Würth. Her accommodation provisions include a master stateroom with its own office and private exterior deck area with whirlpool, one VIP suite with his & her bathroom, five double suites, two of which occupy the uppermost deck, and two further double guest cabins. The full-displacement superyacht has a flared bow and a 14.20m beam with exterior and interior design by the Italian team of Nuvolari & Lenard. The yacht has a crew of 26. Illusion is a superyacht built in 2013 at the Dutch Heesen Yachts shipyard. The interior design of Illusion was done by Bannenberg & Rowell Design and the exterior work was done by Omega Architects. It was launched as the Galactica Star with an original sale price of €65 million.

<i>Cloud 9</i> (yacht)

Oceanco's 88.5 m (290 ft) Cloud 9 was delivered in 2015 as Infinity. Her exterior design is the work of Espen Øino and her interior is by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and David Kleinberg Design Associates. The Master Suite includes a private exterior deck and whirlpool. Guest accommodations consist of two VIP suites and four spacious guest staterooms. The yacht is fitted with two 4.828 hp (3.600 kW) MTU engines and is capable of reaching speeds of 18.5 knots (34 km/h).

<i>Black Pearl</i> (yacht) Sailing yacht launched in 2016

Black Pearl is a sailing yacht launched in 2016, which is 106.7 meters (350.1 ft) in length. It has three DynaRig masts supporting a sail area of 2,900 square meters (31,215 sq ft). The yacht was known during its build process originally as Oceanco Y712 and thereafter as "Project Solar". The hull is steel, the superstructure aluminum, and the masts carbon fiber. The yacht is owned by the family of Russian billionaire Oleg Burlakov, who died in 2021.

The 74 m (243 ft) superyacht Universe was launched by Amels Holland B.V. at its yard in Vlissingen. She was designed by Tim Heywood, and the interior design was created by Winch Design. She has two sister ships, the 2016-built Plvs Vltra and the 2017 built New Secret.

<i>Scheherazade</i> (yacht) Yacht, manufactured in 2020 by Lürssen

Scheherazade is a motor superyacht built by Lürssen Yachts of Germany. With a length of 140 m (460 ft), it is currently one of the longest motor yachts in the world.
