Alair Cruz Vicente (born 19 April 1981) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who works as a player-coach for German club Kickers Leer/Germania Leer II. He plays as a left-back.
Born in Aracruz, Cruz Vicente started playing for Riachuelo before being noticed by Corinthians at a youth cup tournament in São Paulo as part of Desportiva Ferroviária. [1] He eventually moved to the Netherlands, signing a youth contract with AZ on 13 April 1998 after the club had brokered a deal through agent Apollonius Konijnenburg. [1]
Cruz Vicente would, besides AZ, play in the Netherlands for FC Volendam, SC Veendam and SC Telstar. [2] [3]
He left Telstar in January 2015, [4] and returned to Brazil in order to work in his parents' coffee plantation. [1] Cruz Vicente also began playing football again after a few years, signing with hometown club EC Aracruz in January 2018, who were competing in the Campeonato Capixaba Série B. [5] After a conflict with management, [1] he moved to Pau Brasil, a club playing in a local competition in an Indian reservation. [6]
In August 2018, Cruz Vicente returned to the Netherlands to play for VV Nieuweschans in the Vijfde Klasse, the tenth and lowest tier of Dutch football, after having initially chosen to play for WVV Winschoten. [7] [1] In July 2019, he moved to German club VfL Germania Leer competing in the Landesliga Weser-Ems. [8] After one season, where he made one official appearance, he moved to the Kickers Leer/Germania Leer II team where he took on a role as player-manager for the Kreisliga team. [9]

Sportclub Veendam was a Dutch professional association football club based in Veendam, province of Groningen. Founded on 4 September 1894 as Look-Out, it became P.J. Veendam in 1909, Veendam in 1910, SC Veendam in 1974, BV Veendam in 1997 and again SC Veendam in 2011. The club was a founder member of the regional first tier Eerste Klasse Noord in 1916 and became champions of the division in 1931–32; it qualified for the national championship play-offs but finished in bottom place. Veendam took part in the inaugural season of the third tier Tweede Divisie in 1956–57; after yo-yoing between the third and second tiers, the team won promotion to the first tier Eredivisie for the first time in 1985–86. The side spent two seasons in the Eredivisie—1986–87 and 1988–89—but were relegated both times. Veendam then competed in the second tier Eerste Divisie until they were dissolved due to financial problems in 2013.

Johannes Gerrit "Johan" Derksen is a Dutch sports journalist and former football player. He played professional football between 1966 and 1978 for six clubs: Go Ahead Eagles, Cambuur, Veendam, HFC Haarlem, SV Meppen and MVV Maastricht. During and after his footballing career, he became a sports journalist, specialising in football. He was the editor-in-chief of Voetbal International, the Netherlands' most prominent football magazine, from 2000 until his retirement in 2013. Derksen was while working at Voetbal International and after his retirement a television football pundit on RTL7's Voetbal International and Veronica Inside on Veronica TV. His current TV talkshow is Vandaag Inside on SBS6.

The Eerste Divisie 2009–10 was the 54th season of the Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1956. The previous year's winners were VVV-Venlo; they, with runner-up RKC Waalwijk, after a promotion/relegation playoff win over De Graafschap, were promoted to the Eredivisie. Twenty teams took part: eighteen from the 2008–2009 season and relegated teams FC Volendam and De Graafschap. The season's champion was promoted to the Eredivisie, while eight other teams, the second- through fifth-place finishers and period winners, faced the Eredivisie's sixteenth- and seventeenth-place finishers in promotion/relegation playoffs. For the first time since 1971, Eerste Divisie clubs also faced relegation; the last- and second-to-last-place teams were relegated to the new Topklasse, in which the best teams from Dutch amateur football play. The 2009–10 Eerste Divisie was sponsored by the Belgian beer brand Jupiler and so the official name of the league was Jupiler League.
