Alan Coomey (born 25 June 1984) is a Gaelic footballer and Australian rules footballer

Playing career

Coomey played wingman for the Ireland national Australian rules football team, that won the 2001 Atlantic Alliance Cup and the 2002 Australian Football International Cup. He was one of Ireland's best on ground, kicking 3 goals in the final against Papua New Guinea. [3] [4] He returned with the team to help them reclaim the 2011 Australian Football International Cup title and kicked one goal in the tournament. [5] [6] He currently plays with East Fremantle Football Club. [7] He previously played for Bishopstown GAA [1] & Leeside Lions.

George Doig Australian rules footballer, born 1913

George Ronald Doig was an Australian rules footballer who played for and later coached the East Fremantle Football Club in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL). A member of the Doig sporting family, Doig kicked 1095 goals from his 202 games playing almost exclusively as a forward, becoming East Fremantle's leading goalkicker of all-time, and leading the WANFL's goalkicking on six occasions. He kicked more than 100 goals in a season nine times, which included a haul of 152 goals in 1934 that set an elite record which was not broken until Bernie Naylor kicked 167 goals in 1953. Doig captained the club for two seasons, from 1940 to 1941, also filling the role of coach during the first season.

James Francis Conway was an Australian rules football player and coach. The winner of the 1950 Sandover Medal, Conway played 180 games for East Fremantle in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) between 1943 and 1956, also representing Western Australia in 15 interstate matches. In 1964, he was appointed coach of Claremont, a position which he held for five years, until 1968. He was inducted into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2009.

Tregenza returned to Western Australian in 2005, playing one final season with East Fremantle. 2014 International Rules Series Football match

The 2014 International Rules Series was contested between Gaelic footballers from Ireland and Australian footballers from Australia. The 18th series of international rules football since the concept's inception in 1984, Ireland entered as defending champions, with Australia seeking their first series win since 2010. The match was played at Perth's Patersons Stadium on Saturday 22 November.
