As a football pundit, Hansen became known for his outspoken views, particularly on teams' defensive performances, frequently criticising what he believed was "diabolical" or "shocking" defending. He co-hosted Match of the Day from 1992 to 2014.
Paul Emerson Carlyle Ince is an English professional football manager and former player who was most recently manager of EFL Championship side Reading. A former midfielder, Ince played professionally from 1986 to 2007, starting his career with West Ham United and later representing Manchester United, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Swindon Town and Macclesfield Town in England, as well as Inter Milan in Italy. With a combined total of 271 league appearances for the two, Ince is one of the few players, especially in the Premier League era, to have represented both of arch rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.

Mark Wright is a former England international football player and English football manager. As a player, he had spells with Liverpool, Derby County, Southampton and Oxford United during the 1980s and 1990s. He made 45 appearances for the England national team, and was a member of the team which reached the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in 1990. At club level, the central defender won the 1992 FA Cup final as captain of Liverpool.
William Beveridge Liddell was a Scottish footballer, who played his entire professional career with Liverpool. He signed with the club as a teenager in 1938 and retired in 1961, having scored 228 goals in 534 appearances. He was Liverpool's leading goalscorer in the league in eight out of nine seasons from 1949–50 to 1957–58, and surpassed Elisha Scott's club record for most league appearances in 1957.
David Robert Speedie is a Scottish former footballer who played for several clubs in England during the 1980s and 1990s, most notably Chelsea, Coventry City, Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers. He accumulated more than 500 football league appearances and scored almost 150 goals in a 14-year professional career. He also earned ten international caps for Scotland.

He is a current Goalkeeping Coach Educator for the FA and has coached at international level for England and Northern Ireland at the under-21, under-19 and schoolboy levels, and with the Liverpool County FA disability team on a part-time basis. He also coached the Bolton Wanderers Ladies goalkeepers for 2 seasons. He left Liverpool in July 2009 after 10 seasons as a coach, and is a freelance goalkeeping coach. He also played for the England Non League Team in May 1997, against the Scottish Highland Football League at Cove Rangers FC, the Highland Football League Team whose ground is six miles south of Aberdeen. His side won 5–0 that Saturday afternoon in the North of Scotland, with Barry Hayles, Lee Hughes, and Marcus Bignot in the England team, all three players who subsequently went on to play at high levels in the English Football League.
Edward Michael Bishop is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played in the Football League in England for Tranmere Rovers, Chester City and Crewe Alexandra and also played and managed in non-league football. He is the elder brother of comedian John Bishop.
