Alanna Rizzo

Alanna Janel Rizzo (born August 8, 1975) is an American sports reporter, who was part of the Los Angeles Dodgers broadcast team on Spectrum SportsNet LA from 2013 through 2020. [1] She rejoined MLB Network in 2021.

Biography

Rizzo is a native of Colorado who is also Cuban-American and fluent in Spanish. [2] She participated in track and cross country at Sierra High School (class of 1993) in Colorado Springs, where she was later inducted into the athletic hall of fame. [3] Though she earned an undergraduate degree in international business, Rizzo's interests shifted away from the business world. [4] She returned to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received an M.A. in broadcast journalism in 2003. [5]

After stints as a sports anchor for CBS stations in Wichita Falls, Texas, and Madison, Wisconsin, Rizzo became a reporter for Root Sports Rocky Mountain. [3] She won three Regional Emmy awards. She worked at MLB Network from early 2012 until late 2013. She reported for the shows Intentional Talk and Quick Pitch on MLB Network. [6] Rizzo resigned from her position with the Dodgers in 2021. [7] She has rejoined the MLB Network as a contributor to Chris Russo's High Heat show. [8]

Daron Sutton is an American baseball broadcaster who has served as a television host or play-by-play announcer for five different Major League Baseball organizations, the Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers. His initial television role was as a pregame host and fill-in play-by-play for the Atlanta Braves, followed by two years of radio play-by-play for the Anaheim Angels, then five years as the play-by-play voice of Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers. He later served as the television voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks for five and a half seasons, and then filled part time television roles with the Los Angeles Angels followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Daron has been a play-by-play voice of the Pac-12 Network since 2014.

Quick Pitch is an American television show centered on showing highlights of baseball games from the previous night. Quick Pitch airs on MLB Network during the MLB regular season at 1 A.M. ET every weeknight, 10 P.M. ET every Sunday, and after Saturday Night Baseball or MLB Tonight every Saturday. Reruns of Quick Pitch are shown overnights and mornings during the regular season.

<i>Intentional Talk</i> TV series or program

Intentional Talk is an hour long and a 30-minute-long talk show shown live Monday-Friday at 5:00 ET or at 3:30 ET on MLB Network. Hosts Siera Santos, Kevin Millar, and Ryan Dempster talk about the major events in baseball. Viewers are also allowed to tweet to the hosts during the show to voice their opinions and some of the tweets are shown on a marquee at the bottom of the screen, seen in "Ask Kevin" and/or read by Stephen. Nelson was named the new co-host of IT in 2021 after former co-host Chris Rose left the show at the end of 2020 because MLB Network was unable to renew his contract. Nelson left the show at the end of January 2023 to join the Dodgers broadcast team. In March 2023 Siera Santos and Ryan Dempster were named Millar's new co-hosts.

Scott Braun is the executive producer and Host of Foul Territory. He was previously a studio host and reporter for MLB Network and NHL Network.

Guggenheim Baseball Management is the ownership group of the Los Angeles Dodgers professional baseball team. The consortium consisted of Guggenheim controlling partner Mark Walter, and also includes as investors basketball hall of famer Magic Johnson, movie producer Peter Guber, baseball team executive Stan Kasten, and investors Bobby Patton and Todd Boehly. Billie Jean King and her partner Ilana Kloss joined the Los Angeles Dodgers ownership group in 2018. Entrepreneurs Alan Smolinisky and Robert L. Plummer joined the ownership group in September 2019.

Spectrum SportsNet LA and Spectrum Deportes LA is an American regional sports network jointly owned by the Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball team and Charter Communications through its acquisition of Time Warner Cable in May 2016. The channel's programming is devoted completely to the Dodgers, and includes coverage of all Dodgers games not being exclusively televised by MLB's national television partners, along with news, interview, and documentary programming focusing on the team.

Joseph Daniel Davis is an American television sportscaster who serves as the play-by-play broadcast announcer for Los Angeles Dodgers telecasts on Spectrum SportsNet LA. He also calls national MLB, NFL, and college basketball telecasts for Fox Sports, and has broadcast other pro and college sports for various teams and networks during his career. In addition, he is the main play-by-play broadcaster for the annual World Series and MLB All-Star Game on Fox.

Lauren Gardner is an American sportscaster who is employed by the DAZN Group, MLB Network, and NHL Network.

Stephen Nelson is an American television personality and play-by-play commentator who works for the NHL Network, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube was the presentation of Major League Baseball (MLB) games live on the video sharing and social media platform YouTube. Games were produced by the league-owned MLB Network. Games generally streamed in the afternoon on weekdays.
