Albakil "Thong" Dasani Jikiri is a Moro Filipino who is a member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament and the Deputy Chief Minister of Bangsamoro for the Islands.
Albakil Jikiri was born in December 12,1980 in Indanan,Sulu to Yusop Jikiri and Dayang Dayang Harija Dasani. [1] He used the Dasani as his last name for security reason during his elementary school years in Bakud Elementary School in Jolo due to his father's association with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). After the 1996 Final Peace Agreement was signed between the Philippine government and the MNLF,he began using his paternal family name. [2] By this time he is already attending high school at the Notre Dame High School for Boys in Jolo. [1] He obtained a bachelor's degree in Political science at the Universidad de Zamboanga. [1]
Jikiri is the son of Yusop Jikiri who is chairman of a faction within the Moro National Liberation Front. [3] In January 2021,few months after his father's death,he was designatied as MNLF National Vice Chairman for Military Affairs. [2] The faction expressed support to the presidential campaign of Bongbong Marcos for the 2022 elections. [4]
Jikiri is elected as a member of the Sulu provincial board in 2007 and municipal councilor of Indanan in 2013. [2]
Jikiri would be appointed to the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament by President Rodrigo Duterte on September 23,2021 to fill in the seat of parliament member Abdul Sahrin who died in office. [3] In December 1,2021,he was named as Deputy Chief Minister of Bangsamoro for the Islands filling in the position which was also held by Sahrin. [1]

The Moro National Liberation Front Executive Council of 15 is a faction of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in which the group of 15 leaders forged a unity agreement with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). The agreement was signed in Kuala Lumpur and coincided with the Filipino President's visit. Muslimin Sema is the current chairman of the group. The government of the Philippines recognizes Sema along with Misuari as representatives of the MNLF despite the recognition of Nur Misuari as chairman by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation,which the MNLF is an observer member to. Supposedly,Sema's group together with Habib Mudjahab Hashim's MNLF Islamic Command Council (ICC),somewhat agreed to reunite with the MNLF under Misuari.
Habib Tupay T. Loong was a Filipino politician who was a representative of Sulu's 1st congressional district in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). He is the older brother of Ben Tupay Loong,the current vice-governor,and himself served as Governor of Sulu for three terms. Together the "Loong Brothers" constitute a formidable political force in Sulu.

The 2001 rebellion of the Moro National Liberation Front Misuari faction against the Philippine government during the presidency of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was led by Nur Misuari,the founder of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). It began on November 19,2001,when members of a faction of the MNLF loyal to Misuari attacked a Philippine Army headquarters in Jolo,Sulu in the Philippines. The attack was meant to disrupt the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao elections scheduled for November 26 of that year,which eventually replaced Misuari as governor.
Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan was a Filipino militant affiliated with the Abu Sayyaf. He was the leader of the group which has associated itself with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) since 2014. On July 6,2020,Hajan Sawadjaan was severely wounded during an encounter with the government troops in Barangay Bakong,Patikul,Sulu and died from his injuries a few days later. After the encounter with the government troops,he was found and buried by the group of his cousin Mundi Sawadjaan,an Abu Sayyaf sub-leader.
