The Albertina Klosterneuburg is a contemporary art gallery located in the town of Klosterneuburg, Austria. It is a branch of the Albertina gallery in Vienna and opened in April 2024.
The Essl Museum operated in Klosterneuburg between 1999 and 2016. When it closed due to financial problems the collection was donated to the Albertina. [1] The Albertina also gained control of the museum's building in 2017. [2] The building was used to store the Essl collection and other contemporary artworks. [1] The Albertina's workshop was also located there. [2]
In April 2024 the Albertina Klosterneuburg opened to the public. It has the role of displaying post-1945 works held by the Albertina and is the second branch of the gallery, after the Albertina Modern which opened in 2020. [1]
As part of an interview conducted to mark his retirement in December 2024, Albertina director Klaus Albrecht Schröder identified not opening the Albertina Klosterneuburg at an earlier date as being a mistake he'd made while in the role. He noted that "I should have founded the Albertina Klosterneuburg five years earlier. The [COVID-19] pandemic got in the way a little and it was also a bad decision on my part". [2]

The Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) is an art museum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The museum occupies a 15,300-square-metre-building (165,000 sq ft) adjacent to Robson Square in downtown Vancouver, making it the largest art museum in Western Canada by building size. Designed by Francis Rattenbury, the building the museum occupies was originally opened as a provincial courthouse, before it was re-purposed for museum use in the early 1980s. The building was designated the Former Vancouver Law Courts National Historic Site of Canada in 1980.

Beecroft Art Gallery is an art gallery in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. The gallery is housed in the former municipal central library that opened in 1974 in the brutalist style as part of Southend Civic Centre. The Beecroft Art Gallery has a busy programme of changing exhibitions of art, photography and fashion. On the ground floor, the gallery presents temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary artists, focusing on the work of emerging and established local artists. The Stift Klosterneuburg, which was established in 1114 and soon after given to the Augustinians, is of particular historical importance.
The Albertina is a museum in the Innere Stadt of Vienna, Austria. It houses one of the largest and most important print rooms in the world with approximately 65,000 drawings and approximately 1 million old master prints, as well as more modern graphic works, photographs and architectural drawings. Apart from the graphics collection the museum has acquired, on permanent loan two significant collections of Impressionist and early 20th-century art, some of which are on permanent display. The museum also houses temporary exhibitions. The museum had 360,073 visitors in 2020, down 64 percent from 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but still ranked 55th in the List of most-visited art museums in the world.

Imi Knoebel is a German artist. Knoebel is known for his minimalist, abstract painting and sculpture. The "Messerschnitt" or "knife cuts," is a recurring technique he employs, along with his regular use of the primary colors, red, yellow and blue. Knoebel lives and works in Düsseldorf.
The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum is an art museum located on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, within the university's Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. Founded in 1881 as the St. Louis School and Museum of Fine Arts, it was initially located in downtown St. Louis. It is the oldest art museum west of the Mississippi River. The Museum holds 19th-, 20th-, and 21st-century European and American paintings, sculptures, prints, installations, and photographs. Judy Fox is an American sculptor who was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1957. She studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 1976, earned a BA from Yale University in 1978, studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts Paris, France in 1979, and received an MFA from New York University in 1983. She was an art student at the time when figurative art was submerged by abstraction, and took that as a challenge. In 2006, she was awarded a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation fellowship. Fox is a faculty member at the New York Academy of Art. Judy Fox lives and works in New York City.
Zoran Mušič, baptised as Anton Zoran Musič, was a Slovene painter, printmaker, and draughtsman. He was the only painter of Slovene descent who managed to establish himself in the elite cultural circles of Italy and France, particularly Paris in the second half of the 20th century, where he lived for most of his later life. He painted landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and self-portraits, as well as scenes of horror from the Dachau concentration camp and vedute of Venice.
Joannis Avramidis was a contemporary Greek-Austrian painter and sculptor. He was born in Batumi, on the Black Sea, in the Adjarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, an Autonomous Republic of the former Soviet Union, to a family of Pontic Greeks, who had fled the repression of ethnic minorities in the Ottoman Empire in the turmoil leading up to the Greco-Turkish War.

Alexander "Sasha" Okun is an Israeli artist, author and educator. He is best known for his work in the medium of painting and has been called the Hanoch Levin of Israeli art. Okun's art is characterised for its reference to classical baroque traditions, which he identifies as tragic comedy in the tragicomic absurd perspective. He is a senior lecturer at Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem, where he was taught for almost 40 years.
