Alberto A. Guani Amarilla (born April 9, 1959) is a Uruguayan diplomat. [1]
Became the First delegate representing Uruguay for the Peace and Security Council commission. As well as being the country's representative for De-colonization & International Security dealing with Disarmament issues.

Directed a reinsertion campaign to introduce Uruguayan products in Eastern European countries. Headed Uruguayan commission to combat drugs. Reactivated the agreements of cooperation to combat drugs between Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Paraguay. Aided in the insertion of Uruguay's participation in the operations of peace keeping in Georgia, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Elected as vice-president of the First Committee -55 UN General Assembly Session- known as the Millennium Assembly of the UN. Chief negotiator of the Uruguayan Delegation for the Illicit Arms Convention. Worked on demining campaigns and concluded the convention regarding the proliferation of arms and small weapons. The Summit of South American-Arab Countries is a bi-regional mechanism for cooperation and political coordination, which gathers the 22 member-States of the League of Arab States and the 12 countries of South America. Better known by its Portuguese and Spanish acronym ASPA, the bi-regional forum was created upon proposal of the Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during the I ASPA Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in Brasilia, Brazil, in May 2005. Since its inception, a second ASPA Summit happened in Doha, Qatar, in March 2009, and a third Summit was held in Lima, Peru, in October 2012, after being postponed, from February 2011, due to the Arab Spring uprisings.

Susana Myrta Ruiz Cerutti was an Argentine lawyer, diplomat, and politician, who occupied the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship (canciller) during the presidency of Raúl Alfonsín, from 26 May to 8 July 1989. This made her the first woman in Argentina's history to reach the post of foreign minister. She had previously served as deputy foreign minister from 1987 to 1989, when she became foreign minister and later held other positions in that Ministry. During her diplomatic career, she was also Argentine ambassador to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Canada.
