Alejandro Edmundo Trejo Zapata (born 8 August 1959) is a Chilean theater, television, and voice actor. He is best known for 2001's A Cab for Three , for which he received Best Actor awards at the Cinemanila [1] and Gramado film festivals. [2]
Alejandro Trejo, a well-known Chilean actor, came to show business almost by chance, because the theater was his second choice. In 1979 he entered the Moneda Theater School directed by Pury Durante. [3] In 1986 he founded, along with Juan Edmundo González, the street theater company El Clavo. As an actor he has participated in numerous plays, among which are Lautaro, by Isidora Aguirre, Historia de un galpón abandonado by Ramón Griffero, Tríptico, and El Señor Presidente, these last two with El Clavo. Later with the company La Batuta he participated in Chronicle of a Death Foretold , where he met Julio Milostich, and in Galileo Galilei. With the group Bufón Negro he has been part of the cast of El coordinador, El solitario, Un dulce aire canalla, and El amor intelectual, all by Benjamín Galemiri . A great theatrical success of his was Nadie es profeta en su espejo, by Jorge Díaz , under the direction of Alejandro Goic, as well as La Condición Humana. He starred in Macbeth under the direction of Englishman Ian Wooldrich, sharing the stage with actor Rodrigo González Rubio. He has made national and international tours. [4] As a director he has distinguished himself with La comarca del jazmín by Óscar Castro, The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, El libro de Rebeca by Benjamin Galemiri, Loco afán by Pedro Lemebel, and El desvarío by Jorge Díaz, among others. In films, his performances stand out in A Cab for Three , The Sentimental Teaser , Subterra , Machuca , Gente decente , and Los Debutantes . [5] Trejo is also a voice actor who has been in that business for more than 20 years, lending his voice to various commercials, series, and television documentaries. [6]
He has served as a juror for the Caleuche Awards, and hosted their first ceremony in 2016. [7]

Andrés Wood Montt is a Chilean film director, producer and writer. Some of his most popular films include Machuca, Violeta se fue a los cielos, and Historias de Futbol. He created his own production company known as Wood Producciones in 1993.
Chilean cinema refers to all films produced in Chile or made by Chileans. It had its origins at the start of the 20th century with the first Chilean film screening in 1902 and the first Chilean feature film appearing in 1910. The oldest surviving feature is El Húsar de la Muerte (1925), and the last silent film was Patrullas de Avanzada (1931). The Chilean film industry struggled in the late 1940s and in the 1950s, despite some box-office successes such as El Diamante de Maharajá. The 1960s saw the development of the "New Chilean Cinema", with films like Three Sad Tigers (1968), Jackal of Nahueltoro (1969) and Valparaíso mi amor (1969). After the 1973 military coup, film production was low, with many filmmakers working in exile. It increased after the end of the Pinochet regime in 1989, with occasional critical and/or popular successes such as Johnny cien pesos (1993), Historias de Fútbol (1997) and Gringuito (1998).

Los archivos del cardenal is a Chilean TV series that premiered on 21 July 2011 on Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) and was based on the human rights defense work carried out by the Vicariate of Solidarity during the dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet (1973–1990). The first season had 12 episodes, achieving an audience rating of 17.5 points for its first chapter. The last episode of the season got 8.0 points, and was broadcast live at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights before more than 2,000 people in a giant screen projection.

Chromosome 21 is a Chilean crime thriller television series co-created by Matías Venables and Nico Martínez Bergen. The series traces a police investigation into a young man with down syndrome involved in a murder. It had its original run on Chilean network Canal 13 on 14 October 2022. Netflix then acquired global streaming rights, and released it on their platform on 8 February 2023. The series received four nominations at the 7th Caleuche Awards, with Sebastián Solorza winning the breakthrough actor award, and five nominations for the 10th Platino Awards.
