Simon "Simi" Ammann is a Swiss ski jumper. He is one of the most successful athletes in the history of the sport, having won four individual Winter Olympic gold medals, in 2002 and 2010, and is the only ski jumper to have achieved the gold double–double at the Winter Olympics. His other achievements include winning the 2007 Ski Jumping World Championships, the 2010 Ski Flying World Championships, the 2010 Nordic Tournament, and the 2010 Ski Jumping World Cup overall title.
Jens Weißflog is a German former ski jumper. He is the most successful German ski jumper of all time. Only Finns Matti Nykänen and Janne Ahonen, Poles Adam Małysz and Kamil Stoch and Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer have won more World Cup victories.
Bjørn Tore Wirkola is a retired Norwegian ski jumper. He became World Champion in Oslo in 1966, winning both the large and normal hill competitions. The 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were also held in conjunction with the Holmenkollen ski festival, making Wirkola the Holmenkollen champion as well. Wirkola won the Four Hills Tournament from 1967 to 1969, and is still the only ski jumper who has won this tournament three years in a row. He also competed at three Winter Olympics: in 1964 he finished eleventh in the Nordic combined, in 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, he achieved his best finish with a fourth place in the individual normal hill, 0.6 points behind the bronze medalist Baldur Preiml of Austria, and the 1972 Winter Olympics, where he finished 37th in the wind-ravaged event in the Okurayama large hill.
Sven Hannawald is a German former ski jumper, motor racing driver, and footballer. In ski jumping he competed from 1992 to 2004, with his career best achievement being the winner of the 2002 Four Hills Tournament and becoming the first athlete in history to win all four events in the same tournament. He also finished runner-up twice in the World Cup season, winning four medals at the Ski Jumping World Championships, as well as three medals each at the Winter Olympics and Ski Flying World Championships. After retiring from ski jumping, Hannawald played football for Kreisliga club TSV Burgau, and drove for Callaway Competition in the ADAC GT Masters series.
Espen Bredesen is a Norwegian former ski jumper.
Toralf Engan is a retired Norwegian ski jumper. At the 1964 Winter Olympics he won the large hill and placed second in the new normal hill event. His other victories include the Four Hills Tournament, which he had won the preceding season, as well as the 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in the individual normal hill. Engan won the ski jumping normal hill event at the 1962 Holmenkollen ski festival, the same year he won the Holmenkollen medal. Engan retired after the 1966 season. Later he worked as a national ski jumping coach in 1967–69, and settled in Trondheim with his family.
Kazuyoshi Funaki is a Japanese ski jumper. He ranked among the most successful sportsmen of its discipline, particularly in the 1990s. Funaki is known for his special variant of the V-style, in which the body lies flatter between the skis than usual.
Felix Gottwald is an Austrian Nordic combined athlete who competed from 1994 to 2007 and then returned to compete in 2009. He is 5 ft 10 in , weighing 150 lb(10 st 10 lb; 68 kg).
Noriaki Kasai is a Japanese ski jumper. His career achievements include a gold medal at the 1992 Ski Flying World Championships, winning the 1999 Nordic Tournament, individual silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and two individual bronze medals at the 2003 Ski Jumping World Championships.
Mario Stecher is an Austrian former Nordic combined skier. Competing in six Winter Olympics, he won three medals in the 4 x 5 km team event with two golds and a bronze (2002). Stecher's best individual finish was fifth in the 10 km individual normal hill event at Vancouver in 2010.
Andreas Felder is an Austrian former ski jumper. During this period he dominated the sport, together with contemporaries Jens Weißflog and Matti Nykänen. Felder finished in the top three overall six times in the World Cup, including a No. 1 ranking in the 1990/91 season. He won his first international championship medal at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo with a silver medal in the team large hill competition.
Armin Kogler is an Austrian former ski jumper.
Oddvar Brå is a Norwegian former cross-country skier. He was among the best skiers in Norway, the three-times winner of the World Cup and the winner of 16 national championships. His success in the major international championships was more modest.

Veikko Kankkonen is a retired Finnish ski jumper who competed at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Winter Olympics. He won two medals in 1964 with a gold in the individual normal hill and a silver in the individual large hill event. That same year he won the jumping competition at the Holmenkollen ski festival, which also earned him the Holmenkollen medal. He also won the Four Hills Tournament and served as the flag bearer for Finland at the 1968 Olympics.
Karl Schnabl is an Austrian former ski jumper who competed during the 1970s.
Nikolay Andreyevich Kamenskiy was a Soviet former ski jumper who competed in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He won a silver medal in the individual large hill at the 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane.
Dieter Neuendorf is an East German former ski jumper who competed in the mid-1960s. He won a silver medal in the individual normal hill at the 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo.
Daniela Iraschko-Stolz is an Austrian ski jumper. She is one of the sport's most successful female athletes, having won the 2014/15 women's World Cup season, and has the third most individual female World Cup wins – 12 – as of March 2017. Since 2003 she has held the women's ski flying world record of 200 m (660 ft), and remains the only woman to reach that distance.
