Alexander Robert Lagemann (born July 28, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter, TV personality, and former collegiate athlete. During his time playing football at UC Berkeley, he began making hip-hop music, which eventually led him to start the band, Radical Something, in 2011. On May 2, 2016 it was revealed that Lagemann would be starring in Mark Burnett's new unscripted dating show, "Coupled", on FOX. [1]

Early life

Alexander Robert Lagemann was born on July 28, 1989, in Capitola, California, to Roy and Luci Lagemann. The family eventually relocated to Saratoga, California. Lagemann has an older brother, Augie, and two younger twin brothers, Gian and Peter.

As a high-schooler, Lagemann excelled in sports and academics, earning a full-scholarship to play wide receiver at the University of California, Berkeley. [2]

2003–2007: High School

Lagemann attended Saratoga High School, where he participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. As 3-year starter on the football team, Lagemann was named to multiple All-State, All-County, and All-League teams. [3]

2007–11: College Football career

In 2007, Lagemann attended UC Berkeley and was a member of the football team as a wide receiver. In 2009, Lagemann earned First-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors. [4]

2011–present: Radical Something

After releasing multiple solo albums under the name 'Loggy', Lagemann formed the band Radical Something in 2011 with his football teammate, Michael Costanzo (DJ Big Red), and singer, Josh Hallbauer (Josh Cocktail). Lagemann and Costanzo were roommates in college and collaborated on Lagemann's solo work. Radical Something has now released 5 albums and completed multiple national tours. [5]

Joe Roth (American football) American football player

Joseph Lawrence Roth was a college football player and All-American quarterback at the University of California, Berkeley. Roth played the 1976 season knowing he was dying of melanoma; he died in February 1977, three months after his last regular season game and just weeks after playing an all-star game in Japan. His jersey, number 12, is the only one ever retired by the California Golden Bears football program.

The California Golden Bears are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Berkeley. Referred to in athletic competition as California or Cal, the university fields 30 varsity athletic programs and various club teams in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s Division I primarily as a member of the Pac-12 Conference, and for a limited number of sports as a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). Over the course of the school's history, California has won team national titles in 13 men's and 3 women's sports and 107 team titles overall. Zellerbach Hall

Zellerbach Hall is a multi-venue performance facility on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley, west of Lower Sproul Plaza. It was designed by architect and professor Vernon DeMars and completed in 1968. The facility consists of two primary performance spaces: the 1,984-seat Zellerbach Auditorium, and the 500-seat Zellerbach Playhouse.

Jill Costello

Jillian Helene Weinkauf Costello, better known simply as Jill Costello, was an American athlete and activist against lung cancer. She is best known for leading the California Golden Bears crew as varsity coxswain while fighting against stage IV lung cancer. Costello was an otherwise healthy, 21-year-old non-smoker, when she was diagnosed with cancer. In 2011 she was inducted into both the NCAA Hall of Fame and the UC Berkeley Golden Bears Hall of Fame.

University of California Jazz Ensembles

The University of California Jazz Ensembles, also known as the UC Jazz Ensembles, UC Jazz, or UCJE, is the student jazz organization founded in 1967 on the University of California, Berkeley, campus. Founded in 1967, it comprises one or more big bands, numerous jazz combos, a vocal jazz ensemble, an alumni big band, and instructional classes. With a mission statement to foster a community for the performance, study, and promotion of jazz at U.C. Berkeley, its Wednesday Night big band provides free concerts every Thursday noon on Lower Sproul Plaza, its various units perform throughout the San Francisco Bay Area including area high schools, travel to collegiate jazz festivals, and perform overseas, and for many years it sponsored the annual Pacific Coast Jazz Festival. The Bears were led by eleventh-year head coach Jeff Tedford and played their home games at Memorial Stadium after having played at home the previous season at AT&T Park due to reconstruction on Memorial Stadium. Levine-Fricke Field

Levine-Fricke Field is a college softball stadium in Berkeley, California, on the campus of the University of California. Opened in 1995, it is the home field of the California Golden Bears of the Pac-12, with a seating capacity of 1,204. Radical Something is an independent trio composed of Loggy, Josh Hallbauer, and Michael Costanzo. According to Billboard.com the trio "blends hip-hop and rock with a decidedly Californian vibe". Their newest offering, a 7-song EP entitled "Hot Sauce" was released independently on November 4, 2016.

Brian Allen Treggs is a former American football wide receiver who played one season with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley and attended Carson High School in Carson, California.

UC Berkeley Anthropology Library Occupation 2012

On January 17, 2012, a proposal was brought to the Occupy Cal General Assembly to occupy UC Berkeley's George and Mary Foster Anthropology Library due to a recent decision by administration to reduce the library's hours and services. Part of the overall trend of privatization and divestment in public resources, the university has reduced spending on its libraries by 12 percent since 2012. With mass approval by the General Assembly, members of Occupy Cal decided to lead a study-in of the anthropology library on January 19 to demand the reinstatement of the library's hours and resources.

2018 California Golden Bears football team American college football season

The 2018 California Golden Bears football team represented the University of California, Berkeley in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bears went 7–6 during Justin Wilcox's second year as head coach. The Bears upset #15 Washington 12–10 and defeated USC 15–14 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles to snap a 15-year losing streak to the Trojans, but at the same time, they also snapped a 18-year losing streak to USC in the Coliseum. They lost 10–7 in overtime to TCU in the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl.
