Joseph Bert Tinker was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played from 1902 through 1916 for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Chicago Whales of the Federal League.

A World Series champion with the Pirates in 1979, Stennett is one of two players to collect seven hits in a nine-inning game, which he did in a 22–0 victory over the Chicago Cubs, in 1975. Stennett was also a member of the first all-Black and Latino starting lineup in big league history.

Jewel Winklemeyer Ens was an American infielder, manager and coach in Major League Baseball. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Ens served the Pittsburgh Pirates as a utility infielder (1922–25), player-coach (1923–25), coach and manager (1929–31). He was a member of the 1925 World Series champion Pirates and their 1927 National League championship edition. He managed the Pirates from August 28, 1929, through the end of the 1931 season, leading them to a 176–167 record (.513) with two fifth-place finishes in the eight-team NL during his two full seasons as skipper.

Debs C. Garms was a professional baseball player for 12 seasons as an outfielder and third baseman for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, and St. Louis Cardinals. Garms broke up Johnny Vander Meer's streak of hitless innings in 1938. He won the National League batting title in 1940, hitting .355 for the Pirates despite having played in only 103 games and garnering 358 at bats. Garms' batting title proved very controversial because of his limited playing time. In 1941, he set a then-major league record for consecutive pinch hits with seven, which stood until Dave Philley broke it in 1958.

The manager of the Rochester Red Wings, Triple-A farm system affiliate of the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball from 2015–17, Quade is currently the roving outfield coordinator in the Minnesota farm system.
